Scott Speedster Gravel 50

The 2022 "Speedster Gravel 50" model from Scott is a versatile gravel bike, renowned for its robust construction and reliable components. It is available at a price of 1199 EUR and offers a solid foundation for riders who want to ride on both roads and unpaved trails.

The Speedster Gravel 50’s frame is made from Speedster Gravel Disc / D.Butted 6061 aluminium alloy and is specifically designed for gravel riding. The Scott Gravel geometry ensures a balanced riding position, whilst the replaceable derailleur hanger and internal cable routing ensure durability and easy maintenance. The bike is also compatible with the Syncros mudguard kit. The maximum load capacity is 120 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 11 kg.

The Speedster Gravel 50 is fitted with Tektro MD-C511 mechanical disc brakes, featuring Tektro TR-160-35 brake discs at the front and rear, each with a diameter of 160 mm. The drivetrain consists of Shimano Claris components, including the Shimano Claris RD-R2000-GS 16-speed rear derailleur, Shimano Claris ST-R2000 shift levers and the Shimano Claris FD-R2000 front derailleur. The crankset is a Shimano Claris FC-RS2000 with 50x34 teeth, whilst the cassette is a Shimano CS-HG50 with 8 speeds and a range of 11–32 teeth. Power is transmitted via a KMC X8 chain.

The Speedster Gravel 50’s fork is made from Speedster Gravel Alloy with a flat-mount disc mount and an eccentric aluminium steerer tube (1 1/4"–1 1/2"). The bottom bracket is a Shimano BB-UN300. The handlebars are aluminium Syncros Creston 2.0 X with a diameter of 31.8 mm, combined with a Syncros RR2.5 stem (113 mm long) and an Acros AIF-1113 headset.

The wheelsets consist of Syncros Race 24 Disc rims, each with 28 spokes at the front and rear. The tyres are Schwalbe G-ONE Bite Performance in size 700x40C, which provide good grip on a variety of surfaces. The hubs are Formula Team II CL Disc with 28 spokes in black.

The Speedster Gravel 50 is fitted with a Syncros Tofino Regular 2.5 saddle, mounted on a Syncros RR2.5 seatpost (27.2 mm in diameter and 350 mm in length). The bike features a comfortable geometry with a reach of 396 mm, a stack of 608 mm and a seat tube length of 580 mm. The head tube angle is 71 degrees, the seat tube angle 73 degrees, the head tube length 183 mm and the chainstay length 439 mm. The bottom bracket drop is 71 mm, the fork offset is 50 mm, the standover height is 844 mm, the fork installation height is 399 mm and the wheelbase is 1067 mm. The bottom bracket height is 283 mm.
