Scott Speedster 20 Disc

The 2021 "Speedster 20 Disc" model from Scott is a high-performance road bike that is available for EUR 1199. It has a 6061 D.Butted aluminium frame with endurance geometry and integrated head tube as well as internal cable routing. With a weight of 10 kg, it is light yet robust.

The braking system consists of Shimano BR-RS305 mechanical disc brakes in black, supplemented by a Shimano SM-RT64 brake disc at the front with a diameter of 160 mm. Shifting is realised by Shimano Tiagra components, including the FD-4700 front derailleur and the RD-4700-GS rear derailleur, which offer a total of 20 gears. The shift levers are also from the Tiagra series, model ST-4700, and enable dual control.

The fork of the Speedster 20 Disc is made of carbon and has a tapered head tube diameter of 1 1/8" to 1 1/4". The bottom bracket is a Shimano BB-RS500-PB, and the crankset is a Shimano Tiagra FC-4700 Hyperdrive with 50x34 teeth. The sprocket is a Shimano CS-HG500 with 10 gears and a gradation of 11-32 teeth. The drivetrain is completed by a KMC X10 chain.

The handlebar is a Syncros Creston 2.0 Compact with a diameter of 31.8 mm, while the stem is a JD ST123A made of aluminium, also with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a four-bolt clamp. The headset consists of integrated steel cups.

The rims are Syncros Race 24 Disc with 28 spokes front and rear. The tyres are Schwalbe Lugano in size 700x32C. The hubs are of the Formula Team II CL Disc type, also with 28 spokes, and the spokes themselves are black SHA-DAR with a diameter of 2 mm.

The saddle is a Syncros Tofino Regular 2.5, mounted on a Syncros RR2.5 seatpost with a diameter of 27.2 mm and a length of 350 mm. Overall, the Speedster 20 Disc offers a balanced combination of comfort, performance and reliability, making it an attractive choice for ambitious cyclists.
