Scott Spark 940

The 2021 "Spark 940" model from Scott is a high-quality mountain bike designed for challenging trails and versatile use. The frame is made from Spark 3 carbon with IMP Technology and an HMF main frame. The BB92 bottom bracket area and the SL 6011 aluminium swingarm with SW dropouts for Boost 12x148mm provide a stable and durable structure that is also suitable for 2.6" wide tyres. The TBC Trunnion Box construction ensures additional stiffness and durability. The bike’s total weight is 13 kg.

The Spark 940’s braking system consists of Shimano MT501 disc brakes, fitted at the front with a Shimano SM-RT54 CL brake disc with a diameter of 180 mm. The drivetrain is a 12-speed SRAM NX Eagle, controlled by an SRAM SX Eagle Trigger shifter. This combination offers precise and reliable gear changes even under demanding conditions.

The RockShox Revelation RL3 Air fork, with 130 mm of travel, and the custom Charger 3-Modes rear shock ensure excellent suspension and damping performance. The Spark 940’s cockpit comprises a Syncros Fraser 2.0 handlebar made from 6061 alloy, 760 mm wide, and a Syncros FL2.0 stem made from 6061 aluminium. The headset is a Syncros Pro Drop-in, which has a tapered profile from 1.5" to 1 1/8" and bearing diameters of 42 mm and 52 mm.

The wheelsets consist of Syncros X-25 rims, 25 mm wide with 32 spokes, which are tubeless-ready. The tyres are Maxxis Rekon, 2.4" wide with an EXO protective layer, and are also tubeless-ready. The hubs are by Formula: the CL-811 model at the front (15x110 mm) and the CL-148S Boost model at the rear (12x148 mm).

The saddle is a Syncros Belcarra Regular 2.5, mounted on a Syncros Duncan Dropper Post 2.5 seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm and an adjustment range of 100 mm (for size S) or 125 mm (for sizes M, L & XL).
