Scott Spark 910

The 2021 Scott Spark 910 is a versatile mountain bike that stands out for its high-quality components and advanced technology. The frame is made from Spark 3 Carbon with IMP Technology and an HMF main frame. The rear triangle is made from a lightweight SL 6011 aluminium alloy and features SW dropouts for Boost 12x148mm. The bike accommodates tyres up to 2.6 inches wide and utilises the TBC Trunnion Box construction. Weighing in at 12 kg, the Spark 910 offers an excellent balance between stability and lightness.

The Spark 910’s braking system consists of Shimano XT M8100 disc brakes with a 180 mm front rotor (Shimano RT-MT800 CL). The derailleur is also by Shimano (XT RD-M8100 SGS, Shadow Plus) and offers 12 speeds, controlled via the Shimano XT SL-M8100-IR shifter with Rapidfire Plus and Ispec EV clamping.

Suspension is provided by a FOX 34 Float Performance Elite Air FIT4 fork with 130 mm of travel and various adjustment options, such as low-speed adjustment and lockout. The rear shock is a FOX NUDE EVOL Trunnion, which has been specially adapted for Scott and offers three modes (Lockout, Traction Control and Descend) as well as adjustable travel from 120 mm to 85 mm.

The bottom bracket is a Shimano SM-BB71-41A with a shell width of 41x92 mm. The crankset is a Shimano XT FC-M8100-1 with Hollowtech 2 technology and a 32-tooth chainring. The cassette is a Shimano XT CS-M8100-12 with a 10–51-tooth range. The drivetrain is completed by the Shimano SLX CN-M7100 chain.

The handlebars are Syncros Fraser 1.5 made from a double-butted aluminium alloy (7050), flat-bend with a 9-degree angle and a width of 760 mm. These are paired with Syncros Pro Lock-On grips. The stem is a Syncros FL1.5 made from aluminium (2014) with an integrated spacer and top cap, a diameter of 31.8 mm and a 6-degree angle. The headset is a Syncros Pro Drop-In with a tapered diameter of 1.5 inches to 1 1/8 inches.

The tyres are Maxxis Rekon, 2.4 inches wide, featuring Tubeless Ready technology and the EXO 3C Maxx Terra compound. The wheelset consists of Syncros Silverton 1.5 CL rims, fitted with a 15x110 mm axle at the front and a 12x148 mm Boost axle at the rear. The rims are Tubeless Ready, have a diameter of 25 mm and feature 28 spokes. The saddle is a Syncros Belcarra Regular 1.5 with titanium rails, whilst the seatpost is a FOX Transfer Performance Elite dropper post with a diameter of 31.6 mm, available in sizes S (125 mm), M, L and XL (150 mm).
