Scott Spark 600

The 2021 “Spark 600” from “Scott” is a versatile and well-equipped mountain bike, suitable for both beginners and advanced riders. The price for this model is 1999 EUR. The bike’s frame is made from a lightweight and robust Spark 27.5” Alloy SL 6011 alloy with specially shaped hydroformed tubes. The frame is fitted with a tapered head tube and a BB92 bottom bracket, and features dropouts for 5x141mm axles. The bike’s total weight is 12 kg.

For the brakes, Scott relies on the reliable Shimano MT200 disc brakes, combined with a Shimano SM-RT10 CL 180 mm front brake disc, which ensures excellent braking performance. The drivetrain consists of a SRAM SX Eagle 12-speed system, controlled by the SRAM SX EagleTrigger shifter. This combination offers a wide range of gear ratios, suitable for various types of terrain.

Front suspension is provided by the X-Fusion Velvet RL2 fork with 100 mm of travel and a special ‘Kids Bike Tune’ setting. The rear shock is an X-Fusion 02Pro RL Trunnion with lockout and rebound adjustment, offering 120 mm of travel and also tuned to the needs of younger riders. The bottom bracket is an SRAM DUB Pressfit / MTB 92, combined with the SRAM SX Eagle DUB Boost crankset (155 mm, 30T). The cassette consists of a SRAM SX Eagle / PG1210 / 11-50, which enables precise and smooth power transfer.

The handlebars are Syncros T-Bar made from 6061 alloy, with a width of 640 mm and a flat T-shaped profile featuring a 9° rake. The stem is also made from Syncros 6061 alloy and features an oversized 31.8 mm clamp as well as a 7° angle. The headset is a Syncros OE Press Fit, characterised by its tapered design (1.5"–1 1/8").

The wheelsets consist of Syncros X-20 rims with 32 spoke holes and a width of 20 mm. The tyres are Maxxis Ardent, measuring 26x2.25" with a TPI of 60, ensuring good traction and durability. The front hub is a Shimano HB-MT200 with a quick-release (QR), whilst the rear hub is a Formula CL2241-R, also with a quick-release (QR 141). The spokes are made of black stainless steel (15G / 1.8 mm).

The bike is rounded off with a Syncros Belcarra 2.5 saddle and a Syncros seatpost made from AL6061, measuring 31.6x350mm. Overall, the Scott Spark 600 offers a balanced combination of performance, comfort and versatility, making it an excellent choice for young mountain bike enthusiasts.
