The "Scale 980 yellow" model from Scott, released in 2021, is a versatile mountain bike characterised by its robust construction and high-quality components. The frame is made from Scale Alloy 6061 Custom Butted Tubing and, with Boost QR 5x141mm, a tapered head tube and a BB92 bottom bracket shell, provides a stable and durable foundation. The internal cable routing ensures a clean, tidy look and protects the cables from external damage. The bike’s total weight is 13 kg.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano MT200 Disc hydraulic disc brakes, with a 180 mm front rotor and a 160 mm rear rotor, which offer reliable deceleration even in demanding conditions. The derailleur is a Shimano Deore RD-M6100 SGS with Shadow Plus technology, which enables precise and rapid gear changes across 12 gears. The shift levers are Shimano Deore SL-M6100-R Rapidfire Plus, ensuring intuitive operation.

The Suntour XCR32 RL-R fork, with a coil spring and 100 mm of travel, offers comfortable damping and features a remote lockout function, allowing the suspension to be locked out when required. The bottom bracket is a Shimano BB-MT500-PA with a shell width of 41x89.5 mm. The crankset consists of a Shimano FC-MT511-1 with a 32-tooth chainring, whilst the cassette is a Shimano Deore CS-M6100-12 with a 10–51-tooth range. The drivetrain is completed by a KMC X12 chain.

The cockpit comprises a Syncros Alloy 6061 handlebar, which is 740 mm wide and has a 9° sweep, as well as a Syncros Alloy 6061 stem with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a 6° angle. The headset is a Syncros OE Press Fit, which ensures precise steering.

The wheels are fitted with Syncros rims and Maxxis Rekon Race tyres in size 2.25" with a TPI of 60. The front hub is a Formula CL-51 and the rear hub is a Shimano FH-MT401-B CL with Boost QR 5x141 mm and Micro Spline. The spokes are made of black stainless steel with a gauge of 15G / 1.8 mm.

The saddle is a Syncros Belcarra Regular 2.5, mounted on a Syncros seatpost measuring 31.6 x 400 mm. The pedals are Femin FP873ZU.
