Scott Scale 700

The "Scale 700" model from Scott, released in 2022, is a high-quality mountain bike available for 1399 EUR. The frame is made from Scale 27.5" 6061 alloy custom butted tubing and features a 5x135mm quick-release (QR), a tapered headtube, a BB92 bottom bracket and internal cable routing for the gears. The frame is also fitted with a replaceable derailleur hanger. The maximum load capacity is 70 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 11 kg.

Shimano BR-MT500 disc brakes are used, operated by Shimano BL-MT501 brake levers. The front and rear brake discs are Shimano SM-RT10 models with a diameter of 160 mm. The drivetrain is a 12-speed SRAM NX Eagle, controlled by an SRAM SX Eagle trigger shifter. Power is transmitted via an SRAM CN SX Eagle chain.

The Manitou Markhor fork, with 100 mm of travel and a tapered steerer tube, ensures good suspension performance. The pedals are VP-536 models with a PP body and reflectors. The bottom bracket is an integrated SRAM DUB PF with a shell width of 41x92 mm, and the crankset is a SRAM SX Eagle DUB with a 30T chainring. The cassette is an SRAM SX PG1210 with a range of 11–50 teeth.

The handlebars are Syncros T-Bar made from 6061 alloy, flat-shaped with a 9° bend and a width of 680 mm. The grips are Syncros Youth 115. The stem is also made from Syncros 6061 alloy, has a diameter of 31.8 mm and an angle of 7°. The headset is a Syncros OE Press Fit, tapered with dimensions of OD 50/61 mm and ID 44/55 mm.

The rims are Syncros Disc with 32 spoke holes; the tyres are Maxxis Ikon in size 27.5x2.2", with a TPI of 60 and are foldable. The hubs are Formula CL51 at the front and Formula CL52 at the rear, both with quick-release skewers (QR). The spokes are made of black stainless steel with a thickness of 15g / 1.8mm.

The saddle is a Syncros Future Pro, whilst the seatpost is also made from Syncros material and measures 31.6x350mm. The gross weight is 15 g. The model is known as the SCO Scale 700 XS and offers a balanced combination of performance, comfort and reliability for ambitious mountain bikers.
