Scott Scale 24

The "Scale 24" model from the "Scott" brand, released in 2022, is a high-quality children’s bike designed specifically for young cyclists. Priced at 529 EUR, it offers a solid range of features and a robust build. The frame is made from a lightweight aluminium alloy (Alloy 606) and features a semi-integrated head tube as well as special SCOTT dropouts designed for V-brakes. The maximum load capacity is 50 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 11 kg.

The Scale 24’s braking system consists of aluminium LEE CHI V-brakes, operated by Tektro TS325A brake levers. The drivetrain is fitted with a Shimano RD-TX800 Tourney, which offers 8 gears, and is operated via the Shimano SL-RS45-8R Revo shifter. The fork is an SR Suntour XCT-JR 24 with 50 mm of travel and a softer spring configuration, which provides additional comfort.

The bike is fitted with MARWI SP-700 pedals, which feature reflectors. The bottom bracket is a Feimin BB68 cartridge with a square taper. The crankset consists of a Prowheel aluminium crank (140 mm) with a 32-tooth chainring and a double chain guard. The cassette is a SunRace CSM55 with 8 speeds and a gear ratio of 11-34T, whilst the drivetrain is powered by a KMC Z8.3 chain.

The handlebars are aluminium Junior Flat-Bar handlebars with a width of 560 mm, and the grips are Syncros Youth 100/80 grips. The stem is a LEADTEC LCS-7130, 50 mm long with a 25.4 mm clamp. The headset is a Feimin FP-H807, semi-integrated with a diameter of 1 1/8 inches.

The rims are Alex C-1000 models, and the tyres are Kenda K1227 Booster in size 24x2.2 inches with a TPI of 30. The hubs are KT-A55F at the front and KT-A52R at the rear, both with quick-release skewers (QR). The spokes are black and have a gauge of 15g UCP.

The saddle is a Syncros Future Pro model and the seatpost is made of aluminium with a diameter of 26.8 mm and a length of 300 mm. A kickstand is also included. The gross weight is 16 g, and the bike is available in one size (SCO Scale 24 One size).
