Scott Scale 24

The "Scale 24" model from Scott, released in 2021, is a high-quality children’s bike designed specifically for young riders. The bike’s frame is made from a lightweight and robust aluminium alloy (Alloy 606) and features a semi-integrated head tube as well as SCOTT dropouts for V-brakes. Weighing in at 11 kg, the bike is light enough for children to handle with ease.

The Scale 24 is fitted with LEE CHI aluminium V-brakes, which, together with the Tektro TS325A brake levers, provide reliable braking performance. The gear system consists of an 8-speed Shimano RD-TX800 Tourney, controlled via the Shimano SL-RS45-8R Revo shifter. This allows for easy and precise gear selection, which is ideal for young riders.

The bike’s fork is an SR Suntour XCT-JR 24 with 50 mm of travel and a softer suspension, specifically designed for children’s lower body weight. This ensures extra comfort and control on uneven terrain. The pedals are MARWI SP-700 models with reflectors, which offer added safety.

The bottom bracket is a Feimin BB68 cartridge with a square taper, whilst the crankset consists of a Prowheel aluminium crank measuring 140 mm in length and a 32-tooth chainring. The cassette is a SunRace CSM55 with 8 speeds and a gear ratio of 11-34T, and the drivetrain is completed by a KMC Z8.3 chain.

The handlebars are a Junior Flat-Bar model made of aluminium, 560 mm wide, fitted with Syncros Youth 100/80 grips. The stem is a LEADTEC LCS-7130, 50 mm long with a 25.4 mm clamp. The headset is a Feimin FP-H807, semi-integrated and measuring 1 1/8".

The bike is fitted with Alex C-1000 rims and Kenda K1227 Booster tyres in size 24x2.2", which offer good traction and stability. The hubs are: front (VR): KT-A55F / QR and rear (HR): KT-A52R / QR models, and the spokes are 15G UCP in black.

The saddle is a Syncros Future Pro model, mounted on an aluminium seatpost measuring 26.8x300 mm. A handy kickstand is also included, allowing the bike to be parked securely at any time.
