Scott Scale 16

The "Scale 16" model from Scott, released in 2022, is a high-quality children’s bike available for 429 EUR. It features a robust JR16 V-brake frame, made from 6061 aluminium alloy with a curved top tube and a semi-integrated head tube, as well as a rigid fork made from the same alloy. The maximum load capacity is 50 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 7 kg, making it easy to handle and highly manoeuvrable.

The braking system consists of Tektro J-310 V-brakes, which, in combination with the Tektro Kids brake levers, provide reliable braking performance. The fork is rigid and designed for V-brakes. The MARWI SP-201 pedals are fitted with reflectors, which contribute to safety.

The Scale 16’s drivetrain comprises a threaded, square-type BB68 bottom bracket and a Prowheel aluminium crankset with 28 teeth. The sprocket has 16 teeth and is driven by a KMC S1 chain. The handlebars are a junior combination model with a width of 500 mm and are also made of aluminium.

The semi-integrated headset is 1 1/8 inches in size. The rims are made of black aluminium with 20 spokes, and the tyres are Kenda K905 K-RAD in size 16x2.125". The front hub is a KT-122F and the rear a KT-A13R, both with 20 spokes and nut fastenings. The spokes are 15G UCP in black.

The saddle is a Syncros Scale JR16, mounted on an aluminium seat post measuring 26.8 x 200 mm. A handy kickstand is also included. The packaging dimensions are 21 mm wide, 55 mm high and 95 mm long, with a gross weight of just 10 g. The bike is available in one size under the name “SCO Scale 16”.
