Scott Roxter 16

The 2021 ‘Roxter 16’ model from Scott is a sturdy and well-designed children’s bike, available for €269. The bike’s frame is made from JR16 Coaster, a 6061 aluminium alloy, and features a curved top tube and a semi-integrated head tube. The rigid fork is of the BMX type and is made from Hi-Ten steel, suitable for 16-inch wheels and fitted with V-brake pivots.

Weighing just 8 kg, the bike is light and easy to handle, making it ideal for young riders. The braking system comprises a V-brake at the front and a coaster brake at the rear, operated via a Kids Lever Alloy brake lever. The bike features a simple single-speed drivetrain, making it easy for children to use. The crankset consists of a one-piece crank with 28 teeth, complemented by an 18-tooth sprocket and a KMC S1 chain.

The Roxter 16 is fitted with MARWI SP-201 pedals, equipped with reflectors for added safety. The bottom bracket is made of steel and fitted with loose ball bearings. The handlebars are Junior Mini Riser Bars with a width of 500 mm; the stem is an aluminium construction with a length of 30 mm and a clamp diameter of 25.4 mm. The rims are made of black aluminium and have 20 spokes at the front and 28 at the rear, fitted with Schrader valves. The tyres are Kenda K841 Contact, measuring 16x2.25 inches, which ensure good traction and stability. The front hub is a KT-183F with 20 holes and the rear hub is a KT-305RB with 28 holes and a coaster brake; both are bolt-on. The spokes are 15G UCP in black.

The saddle is a Syncros Roxter JR16, mounted on an aluminium seatpost measuring 26.8x200 mm. A handy kickstand is also included, making it easy to park the bike.
