Scott Plasma RC Pro

The "Plasma RC Pro" from Scott from 2023 is a state-of-the-art triathlon bike that is equipped with a variety of advanced technical features. With a price tag of EUR 10,999, it is aimed at ambitious athletes and offers an impressive combination of performance and technology. The bike's frame is made of Plasma 6 Disc / HMX Carbon and features a special TRI geometry as well as a Plasma HMX seatpost. The frame is equipped with a replaceable derailleur hanger and the entire bike has a permissible total weight of 120 kg with a tare weight of just 9 kg.

The model is suitable for riders between 170 cm and 175 cm tall. The braking system consists of Shimano BR-R9170 hydraulic disc brakes both front and rear, with 160 mm Shimano RT-CL800 brake discs. The brake levers are part of the Shimano Di2 ST-R9180 electronic shifting system, which ensures precise and fast shifting. The shifting system comprises 24 gears and is realised by Shimano Ultegra Di2 components, including the RD-R8150 rear derailleur and the FD-R8150 front derailleur.

The fork is a carbon Plasma 6 Disc with an integrated headset from Syncros, which has a diameter of 1 1/4" to 1 1/2". The bottom bracket is a Shimano SM-BB71-41B, combined with a Shimano Ultegra FC-R8100 crankset with 52/36 teeth. The sprocket is a Shimano Ultegra CS-R8100-12 with a gradation of 11-30 teeth, and the drive is provided by a Shimano CN-M8100-12 chain.

The handlebar is a Syncros Creston iC TRI with a width of 400 mm and a Syncros E1 carbon extension. The headset is also from Syncros and integrated. The wheelset consists of Zipp 404 Firecrest Carbon tubeless disc brakes fitted with Schwalbe PRO ONE TT Microskin tyres in size 700x25C. The saddle is a Syncros Belcarra 1.5 TRI, mounted on a Syncros Plasma 6 HMX seatpost with Ritchey WCS clamp and adjustable head.

The geometry of the bike comprises a seat tube length of 503 mm, a top tube length of 529 mm, a head tube angle of 73 degrees, a seat tube angle of 75 degrees and a head tube length of 115 mm. The chainstay length is 410 mm, the bottom bracket drop is 75 mm, the fork pre-bend is 44 mm, the standover height is 746 mm, the fork height is 373 mm and the wheelbase is 982 mm. The bottom bracket height is 261 mm. Overall, the Scott Plasma RC Pro offers a balanced ratio of aerodynamics, comfort and performance, making it an ideal companion for demanding triathletes.
