Scott Plasma RC Pro

The "Plasma RC Pro" model from the Scott brand from 2022 is a state-of-the-art triathlon bike with a price tag of 9999 EUR. It is characterised by a lightweight and robust frame made of Plasma 6 Disc / HMX Carbon, which has been specially designed for triathlon geometry. The frame is equipped with an HMX seatpost and a replaceable derailleur hanger. The permissible total weight is 120 kg, while the bike itself weighs just 9 kg.

The brakes on the Plasma RC Pro are Shimano BR-R9170 hydraulic disc brakes, which offer reliable braking performance. The brake levers are part of the Shimano Di2 ST-R9180 electronic shifting system. 160 mm Shimano SM-MT800 CL brake discs are fitted at the front and rear. The shifting system consists of the Shimano Ultegra Di2 RD-R8150 with 24 gears, and the shift levers are also electronic and of the Shimano Di2 SW-R9160 type. The front derailleur is a Shimano Ultegra Di2 FD-R8150.

The bike has a Plasma 6 Disc fork made of carbon, which has an integrated design and a tapered headset of 1 1/4"- 1 1/2". The bottom bracket is a Shimano SM-BB71-41B, and the crankset is a Shimano Ultegra FC-R8100 with 52/36 teeth. The sprocket is a Shimano Ultegra CS-R8100-12 with a gradation of 11-30 teeth, and the chain is a Shimano CN-M8100-12.

The handlebar of the Plasma RC Pro is a Syncros Creston iC TRI with a width of 400 mm and a Syncros E1 carbon extension. The headset is an integrated Syncros headset with a drop-in design. The tyres are Schwalbe PRO ONE TT Microskin, TL-Easy, foldable and in size 700x25C. The wheelset consists of Zipp 303SE carbon tubeless disc-brake wheels with 24 spokes each at the front and rear, complemented by Syncros axles with a removable lever with tool.

The saddle is a Syncros Belcarra 1.5 TRI, and the seatpost is a Syncros Plasma 6 HMX with an adjustable Ritchey WCS clamp. Other technical data includes a seat tube length of 572 mm, a top tube length of 583 mm, a head tube angle of 73 degrees and a seat tube angle of 75 degrees. The head tube length is 155 mm, the chainstay length is 410 mm, the bottom bracket is lowered by 75 mm, the fork pre-bend is 44 mm and the standover height is 816 mm. The fork height is 373 mm and the wheelbase measures 1043 mm. The bottom bracket height is 261 mm.

The Plasma RC Pro is suitable for riders between 180 cm and 185 cm tall and offers a combination of advanced technology and precise construction that is ideal for ambitious triathletes.
