Scott Foil RC 20

The "Foil RC 20" model from Scott, released in 2023, is a high-quality road bike designed for ambitious cyclists. Priced at 5999 EUR, this bike offers an impressive combination of advanced technology and well-thought-out design.

The frame of the Foil RC 20 is made from FOIL RC Disc HMX material, which is renowned for its high stiffness and lightness. The frame’s Road Race geometry ensures an aggressive riding position, which is ideal for competitive conditions. The frame features a replaceable derailleur hanger and internal cable routing, which contribute to a clean look and improved aerodynamics. The bike’s maximum load capacity is 120 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 8 kg.

Braking performance is provided at the front and rear by the SRAM RIVAL eTap AXS HRD Shift-Brake systems, which are fitted with SRAM Paceline 160 mm brake discs. These hydraulic disc brakes offer reliable stopping power and precise control in all conditions. The Foil RC 20’s gear system is also from SRAM and consists of the RIVAL eTap AXS 24-speed electronic gear system, which enables fast and precise gear changes. The shift lever, front derailleur and drivetrain are also part of the SRAM RIVAL eTap AXS system.

The bike’s fork is a FOIL Disc HMX with an eccentric carbon steerer tube, which contributes to stiffness and steering precision. The bottom bracket is an SRAM DUB PF ROAD 86.5, and the crankset comprises an SRAM RIVAL crankset with 48/35T. The cassette is an SRAM RIVAL XG1250 with a range of 10–30T.

The Foil RC 20’s handlebars are Syncros Creston 2.0 Aero, which, together with the Syncros RR 1.5 Aero stem, ensure an aerodynamic riding position. The stem is 120 mm long. The headset is an Acros AIF-1138, which ensures smooth steering.

The wheelset consists of Syncros Capital 1.0 50 Disc wheels, each with 24 spokes at the front and rear. The wheels are fitted with Schwalbe ONE Race-Guard Fold tyres, in size 700x25C at the front and 700x28C at the rear. This combination offers a good balance between speed and puncture protection.

The saddle is a Syncros Belcarra V-Concept 2.0, which, together with the Syncros Duncan SL Aero CFT seatpost, ensures comfort and aerodynamics.

The Foil RC 20’s geometry comprises a reach of 400 mm, a stack of 589 mm, a seat tube length of 560 mm and a top tube length of 580 mm. The head tube angle is 73 degrees, as is the seat tube angle. The head tube length is 181 mm, the chainstay length is 412 mm, and the bottom bracket drop is 70 mm. The fork offset is 45 mm, the fork height is 373 mm, and the wheelbase is 1009 mm. The bottom bracket height is 275 mm.
