The 2021 "Contessa Ransom 910" model from Scott is a high-quality mountain bike designed for discerning female riders. Priced at EUR 5,699, it offers a wide range of top-class components and technical features.

The frame of the Contessa Ransom 910 is made from Ransom Carbon with IMP Technology and an HMX main frame. It features a BB92 bottom bracket shell and an SL 6011 aluminium swingarm. The VLK Virtual 4 Link kinematics ensure optimal suspension performance, whilst the frame is compatible with both 27.5" and 29" tyres. The geometry can be adjusted via an adjustable bottom bracket, and the SW dropouts are designed for Boost 12x148mm hubs. The TBC Trunnion Box construction contributes to the frame’s stiffness and durability. The bike’s total weight is 14 kg.

Braking power is provided by Shimano XT M8120 4-piston disc brakes, combined with 203 mm front rotors and 180 mm rear rotors (Shimano SM-RT76). The drivetrain consists of a SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed system, operated by a SRAM GX Eagle trigger shifter. The crankset is a SRAM GX Eagle DUB Boost with a 32T chainring, and the cassette is a SRAM GX XG1275 with a range of 10–52 teeth.

The suspension on the Contessa Ransom 910 features a FOX 38 Float Performance Elite Air fork with FIT4 damping and 170 mm of travel. This fork offers three modes (Lockout, Traction Control and Descend), as well as adjustable low-speed damping and a Kabolt 15x110mm axle. The rear shock is a FOX NUDE TR EVOL Trunnion, which is specially tuned for the Contessa model and also offers three modes. The travel here is also 170 mm.

The bottom bracket is an SRAM DUB PF integrated into a 41x92mm shell. The handlebars are Syncros Hixon 1.5 Rise made from an aluminium alloy (20140D.B.) with a 20 mm rise and a width of 800 mm. It comes with Syncros Women Pro Lock-On grips. The stem is a Syncros XM1.5 made from aluminium (6061) with an integrated spacer and top cap.

The wheels are Syncros Revelstoke 2.0 with tubeless-ready rims (30 mm wide) and Boost hubs (front: 15x110 mm, rear: 12x148 mm). The tyres are Maxxis Assegai (2.6", EXO/TR/3C Maxx Terra) at the front and Maxxis Dissector (2.6", EXO+/TR/3C Maxx Terra) at the rear. The saddle is a Syncros Savona V-Concept 1.5 with titanium struts, and the seatpost is a FOX Transfer Performance Elite dropper post with different drop ranges depending on frame size (S: 125 mm, M: 150 mm, L: 175 mm).
