Scott Contessa Active 10

The "Contessa Active 10" model from Scott, released in 2022, is a versatile and high-performance bike designed specifically for women. Priced at 1099 EUR, it offers an impressive combination of technical specifications and high-quality components.

The frame of the Contessa Active 10 is part of the Contessa Active 700/900 series and is made from robust 6061 alloy custom-butted tubing. The frame features a Boost QR 5x141mm, a tapered head tube, a BB92 Pressfit bottom bracket, as well as internal cable routing and a replaceable derailleur hanger. The bike’s maximum load capacity is 128 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 13 kg.

The Contessa Active 10 is fitted with Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes. The front brake disc has a diameter of 180 mm (Shimano SM-RT10 CL), whilst the rear brake disc measures 160 mm. Precise gear changes are ensured by the Shimano XT RD-M8000 SGS Shadow Type rear derailleur with 22 speeds. The shift levers are Shimano Deore SL-M5100 with R-plus and a 2-way release function, and the front derailleur is a Shimano Deore FD-M5100 Side Swing with a 31.8 mm clamp.

The Contessa Active 10’s fork is a Suntour XCR32-RL-R with air suspension, an aluminium steerer tube and a remote lockout. It offers 100 mm of travel. The bike is fitted with VP VP-536 pedals, and the bottom bracket is a Shimano BB-MT500-PA with a shell diameter of 41x92 mm. The crankset consists of a Shimano FC-M5100-B2 with a 2-piece design and chainrings of 36x26 teeth. The cassette is a Shimano CS-M5100-11 with a 11–42T range, and the drivetrain is supported by a KMC X11 chain.

The bike’s cockpit comprises a Syncros 3.0 handlebar with a width of 680 mm, a rise of 12 mm and a backsweep of 9 degrees. The grips are Syncros Women Comfort lock-on grips. The stem is also a Syncros 3.0, measuring 60 mm in length and with a 7-degree angle. The headset is a Syncros OE Press Fit with a 1.5" to 1 1/8" taper.

The wheelsets consist of Syncros X-20 Disc rims with 32 spokes, finished in black. The tyres are Kenda Booster, 2.4" wide with a 30 TPI gauge. The front hub is a Formula CL51 and the rear hub is a Formula CL2241 with a quick-release skewer (141QR). The spokes are made of stainless steel and are also black.

The saddle is a Syncros Savona 2.5 V-Concept, and the seatpost is a Syncros 3.0 with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a length of 350 mm, finished in black.
