Scott Contessa 24 disc

The “Contessa 24 disc” model from Scott, released in 2022, is a youth bike designed for young riders and fitted with a wide range of high-quality components. The price for this model is 549 EUR. The bike’s frame is made from Scale 24 Disc Junior, an aluminium alloy (Alloy 6061) with a semi-integrated head tube and SCOTT dropouts, which ensure high stability and durability. The maximum rider weight is 50 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 12 kg.

The bike is fitted with Tektro SCM-02 mechanical disc brakes, operated by Tektro TS325A brake levers. The brake discs have a diameter of 160 mm at both the front and rear. The drivetrain consists of a Shimano RD-TX800 Tourney 8-speed rear derailleur and a Shimano SL-RS45-8R Revo Shifter, enabling precise and reliable gear selection.

The SR Suntour XCT-JR 24 Disc fork offers 50 mm of travel and is fitted with a softer spring configuration to improve comfort and control on uneven terrain. The pedals are MARWI SP-700s and feature reflectors for added safety. The bottom bracket is a Feimin BB68 cartridge with a square taper.

The crankset consists of a Prowheel aluminium crank with a length of 140 mm and a 32-tooth chainring, which is protected by a double chain guide (CG PVG double cover). The cassette is a SunRace CSM55 with 8 speeds and a range of 11–34 teeth. Power is transmitted via a KMC Z8.3 chain.

The handlebars are aluminium Junior Flat-Bar handlebars, 560 mm wide, fitted with Syncros Youth grips. The stem is a LEADTEC LCS-7130, 50 mm long with a clamp width of 25.4 mm. The headset is a Feimin FP-H807, semi-integrated with a diameter of 1 1/8".

The rims are Alex C-1000 Disc models, fitted with Kenda K1227 Booster tyres in size 24x2.2" and with a TPI of 30. The hubs are a Formula DC-19-F at the front and a Formula DC-25-7-R at the rear, both fitted with quick-release (QR) mechanisms. The spokes are black and weigh 15g each.

The saddle is a Syncros Youth model, mounted on an aluminium seatpost with a diameter of 26.8 mm and a length of 300 mm. A handy kickstand is also included. The gross weight of the bike, including packaging, is 18 g. The model is available in ‘one size’ and is called the SCO Contessa 24 disc.
