Scott Contessa 20 rigid

The "Contessa 20 rigid" model from Scott, released in 2022, is a children’s bike that stands out for its robust construction and well-thought-out features. The frame is made from a lightweight and sturdy aluminium alloy (Alloy 6061) and, with its low step-through height, offers good accessibility for young riders. The bike has a maximum load capacity of 50 kg and weighs just 9 kg itself, making it light and easy to handle.

The Contessa 20 rigid’s braking system is fitted with mechanical disc brakes (Tektro SCM-02), which, in combination with the Tektro JL-510 TS / RS brake levers and 160 mm front brake discs, ensure reliable braking performance. The gear system consists of a Shimano RD-TY300 7-speed rear derailleur and a Shimano SL-RS 36-7 Revo shifter, enabling simple and precise gear selection.

The rigid fork is also made of aluminium (AL-6061) and contributes to the bike’s stability and durability. The MARWI SP-700 pedals are fitted with reflectors to increase visibility. The bottom bracket is a Feimin BB68 cartridge with a square taper, whilst the Prowheel crankset features a 127 mm aluminium crank and a 36-tooth chainring, including a double chain guard (PVG double cover). The cassette is from SunRace (CSM40) and offers a gear range of 11–34 teeth.

Power is transmitted via a KMC Z7 chain. The handlebars are aluminium Junior Flat-Bar with a width of 540 mm, complemented by Syncros Youth grips (100/80 Grip). The stem is a LEADTEC LCS-7130, 50 mm long with a 25.4 mm clamp. The headset is a Feimin FP-H807, semi-integrated with a diameter of 1 1/8 inches.

The rims are Shining V-6NS Disc models, fitted with Kenda K1227 Booster tyres (20x2.4", 30TPI). The front hub is a Formula DC-19F with a quick-release mechanism, and the rear hub is a Formula DC-25-7-R, also with a quick-release mechanism. The spokes are made of black UCP material (15G).

The saddle is a Syncros Youth model, mounted on an aluminium seatpost (26.8x250mm). A handy kickstand is also included. The bike is supplied in packaging that is 21 mm wide, 63 mm high and 110 mm long, and has a gross weight of 13 g.
