Scott Contessa 14

The "Contessa 14" model from Scott, released in 2022, is a high-quality children’s bike characterised by its robust construction and well-thought-out features. The bike’s frame is made from a JR14 Coaster 6061 aluminium alloy with a curved top tube and a semi-integrated headset. The maximum load capacity is 50 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 7 kg.

The Contessa 14 is fitted with a V-brake at the front and a coaster brake at the rear, ensuring reliable braking performance. The brake levers are specially designed for children’s hands and are made from a lightweight aluminium alloy. The fork is a rigid BMX-style fork made from HiTen steel, designed for 14-inch wheels with a V-brake pivot.

The bike is fitted with MARWI SP-201 pedals with reflectors, which offer additional safety. The bottom bracket is made of steel and fitted with loose ball bearings. The crankset is a one-piece design with 28 teeth, whilst the chainring has 18 teeth. Power is transmitted via a KMC S1 chain.

The handlebars are Junior Mini Riser Bars with a width of 480 mm, and the stem is made of an aluminium alloy with a length of 30 mm and a clamp width of 25.4 mm. The semi-integrated headset has a diameter of 1 1/8 inches.

The Contessa 14’s rims are made of black aluminium and have 16 spokes at the front and 28 spokes at the rear. The tyres are Kenda K841 Contact in size 14x2.125 inches, which provide good grip and stability. The front hub is a KT-183F with 20 spokes, and the rear hub is a KT-305RB with 28 spokes and a coaster brake. The spokes are 15g UCP in black.

The saddle is a Syncros Contessa JR14, designed specifically for children, and the seatpost is made of an aluminium alloy, measuring 26.8 x 160 mm. The bike’s gross weight is 11 g, indicating an overall lightweight construction.
