Scott Axis eRIDE FS Speed

The Scott Axis eRIDE FS Speed is a 2022 e-bike model available for 5999 EUR. It features a robust aluminium alloy frame, available in sizes S to XL with 29-inch wheels. The frame is fitted with a Virtual 4-Link Kinematic (VLK) system and offers 140 mm of suspension travel. It is also designed to accommodate an integrated Bosch battery and an optional Range Booster. The bike’s maximum permissible weight is 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 26 kg.

The Axis eRIDE FS Speed is suitable for riders between 185 cm and 200 cm tall. It is fitted with powerful Magura MT5E brakes, combined with 203 mm brake discs at the front and rear. The drivetrain consists of a Shimano XT 12-speed system with Shimano Deore Trigger SL-M6100RA shift levers and a SCOTT Chainguide front derailleur.

Front suspension is provided by a Rock Shox Recon Silver Air fork with 140 mm of travel and remote lockout. The rear shock is an X-Fusion NUDE Trunnion, which has been specially adapted for SCOTT and offers three modes: Lockout, Traction Control and Descend. The rear shock has an adjustable travel range from 130 mm to 85 mm, as well as a lockout function.

The bike’s lighting comprises an integrated Supernova M99 mini pro 45 front light with high-beam function and a Supernova L1E Legal rear light with brake light and number plate holder. The pedals are VP VPE-506 models, whilst the crankset is an FSA CK-745 IS GEN4 MTB with a length of 170 mm. The cassette is a Shimano CS-M7100-12 with a gear ratio of 10-51T.

The handlebars on the Axis eRIDE FS Speed are Syncros 3.0 models, 720 mm wide, with a 20 mm rise and an 8-degree backsweep. The stem is also by Syncros (FL3.0) and is 70 mm long. The rims are Syncros MAXX Disc models with 32 spokes, which are tubeless-ready. The tyres are Schwalbe G-One Allround Performance in size 29x2.25".

The bike features Formula hubs (DC-711 at the front and EMSL-148S at the rear) as well as Sapim double-butted spokes. The saddle is a Syncros Capilano model, mounted on a Syncros FL3.0 seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm. Mudguards from the Wingee aluminium profile range, along with an Ursus kickstand and an Axis EVO luggage rack from Racktime, complete the specification.

The e-bike is powered by a Bosch Performance Speed motor, which is supplied by a PowerTube battery with a capacity of 625 Wh. The Kiox display provides all the necessary information whilst riding, and the charger has an output of 4A.

In terms of geometry, the bike has a reach of 488 mm, a stack of 650 mm, a seat tube length of 540 mm and a top tube length of 665 mm. The head tube angle is 65 degrees, the seat tube angle is 75 degrees, and the head tube length is 145 mm. The chainstay length is 465 mm, the bottom bracket drop is 30 mm, and the fork offset is 44 mm. The top tube height is 810 mm, the fork installation height is 547 mm, the crank length is 170 mm, the wheelbase is 1290 mm and the bottom bracket height is 347 mm.
