Scott Axis eRIDE FS

The 2022 Scott Axis eRIDE FS model is a versatile e-bike equipped with a wide range of technical features. The bike features a robust aluminium alloy frame, available in sizes S–XL, and is fitted with 29-inch wheels. The Virtual 4 Link Kinematic (VLK) design offers suspension with 140 mm of travel, whilst the Boost 148x12 mm system provides additional stability. The frame is also designed to accommodate a removable Bosch battery and is compatible with a range extender. The bike’s maximum load capacity is 128 kg, whilst its kerb weight is 26 kg.

The Axis eRIDE FS is suitable for riders between 160 cm and 175 cm in height. Braking performance is provided by Shimano BR-MT520 4-piston brakes, complemented by 203 mm brake discs at the front and rear. Gear changes are handled by a Shimano XT 12-speed system, controlled by Shimano Deore Trigger SL-M6100RA shift levers. The front derailleur is a SCOTT Chainguide, which ensures precise chain guidance.

Front suspension is provided by a Suntour XCR34 fork with 130 mm of travel and a Maxle Lite axle, which features a remote lockout. The X-Fusion NUDE Trunnion rear shock offers three modes: Lockout, Traction Control and Descend, with an adjustable travel range from 130 to 85 mm.

Other features include a Supernova M99 mini Pure-25 front light with 600 lumens and a Supernova rear light for optimum visibility. The pedals are VP VPE-506 models, and the crankset consists of FSA CK-745 IS GEN4 MTB components with a length of 170 mm. The cassette is a Shimano CS-M7100-12 with a gear ratio of 10-51T.

The handlebars on the Axis eRIDE FS are Syncros 3.0 models, 720 mm wide, with a 20 mm rise and an 8-degree backsweep. The stem is a Syncros FL3.0 with mounts for a front light and Kiox display. The rims are tubeless-ready Syncros MAXX Disc models, fitted with Schwalbe G-One Allround Performance tyres in size 29x2.25". The hubs are a Formula CL 811 at the front and a Formula MSC-148S at the rear, both in Boost specification.

The saddle is a Syncros Capilano model, mounted on a Syncros FL3.0 seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm. The bike is also fitted with Wingee mudguards, an Ursus kickstand and an Axis EVO luggage rack from Racktime SnapIt 2.0, which can carry up to 15 kg.

The Axis eRIDE FS is powered by a Bosch Performance CX motor, fed by a PowerTube battery with a capacity of 625 Wh. The display is a Kiox model and the charger delivers 4A.

In terms of geometry, the bike has a reach of 422 mm, a stack of 627 mm and a seat tube length of 410 mm. The head tube angle is 65 degrees, the seat tube angle is 75 degrees and the head tube length is 120 mm. The chainstay length is 465 mm, the bottom bracket drop is 30 mm and the fork offset is 44 mm. The top tube height is 762 mm, the fork installation height is 547 mm and the crank length is 170 mm. The bike’s wheelbase is 1215 mm in total and the bottom bracket height is 347 mm.
