Scott Addict 40

The "Addict 40" model from Scott, released in 2022, is a versatile road bike characterised by high-quality materials and well-thought-out features. The price for this model is 2099 EUR. The Addict 40’s frame is made from Addict Disc HMF carbon and features an endurance geometry, ensuring a comfortable yet sporty riding position. The frame also features internal cable routing and is compatible with the Syncros mudguard kit. The maximum rider weight is 120 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 9 kg.

The Addict 40 is suitable for riders between 160 cm and 170 cm tall. It is fitted with Shimano hydraulic disc brakes (BR-4770), which use 160 mm Shimano SM-RT64 CL brake discs at the front and rear. The drivetrain consists of a Shimano Tiagra Black RD-4700-GS with 20 speeds, operated via Shimano Tiagra ST-4720 Dual Control shifters. The front derailleur is a Shimano 105 FD-R7000 Black.

The bike’s fork is also made from Addict HMF Disc Carbon and features an eccentric carbon steerer (1 1/4"–1 1/2"). The bottom bracket is a Shimano BB-RS500-PB, whilst the crankset is a Shimano Tiagra FC-4700 Compact Hyperdrive with 50x34 teeth. The cassette consists of a Shimano CS-HG500, 10-speed with 11–32 teeth. The drivetrain is completed by a KMC X10 chain.

The handlebars are aluminium Syncros Creston 2.0 Compact with a diameter of 31.8 mm, whilst the stem is a Syncros RR2.0 with four bolts and also a diameter of 31.8 mm. The headset is an Acros AIF-1112. The rims are Syncros Race 24 Disc, each with 28 spokes at the front and rear, and the tyres are Schwalbe ONE Fold in size 700x32C. The hubs are Formula Team II Disc with 28 spokes made of black stainless steel (14G, 2 mm).

The saddle is a Syncros Tofino Regular 2.5 Channel, mounted on a Syncros RR1.2 seatpost measuring 27.2 mm in diameter and 350 mm in length. The bike has a seat tube length of 475 mm, a top tube length of 525 mm, a head tube angle of 71 degrees and a seat tube angle of 75 degrees. The head tube length is 105 mm, the chainstay length is 420 mm, and the bottom bracket drop is 70 mm. The fork offset is 45 mm, the top tube height is 747 mm, the fork installation height is 395 mm and the wheelbase is 1003 mm. The bottom bracket height is 275 mm. The bike’s total gross weight is just 15 g.
