Propain HUGENE 2 CF Base

The "HUGENE 2 CF Base" model from Propain, released in 2025, is a well-balanced mountain bike designed for challenging trails. Priced at EUR 3,229, it offers a well-thought-out combination of high-quality components that ensure both performance and reliability. The braking system consists of SRAM G2 R disc brakes with 200 mm discs at the front and rear, ensuring powerful and controlled deceleration. The drivetrain is fitted with the SRAM GX Eagle system, which offers a 1x12 gear ratio, thus providing a wide range of gears for different types of terrain.

The RockShox Pike Select fork and RockShox Select+ rear shock provide effective suspension and damping, which smoothly absorbs bumps whilst ensuring stability and comfort. The TRUVATIV Descendant aluminium crankset, with a length of 170 mm and a 32-tooth chainring, complements the drivetrain – which also comes from the SRAM GX Eagle series – and offers efficient power transfer.

For handling and control, the bike is fitted with a SIXPACK Millenium 805 handlebar, which has a 20 mm rise, and a SIXPACK Vertic 50 stem. These components contribute to an ergonomic and stable riding position. The Schwalbe Nobby Nic tyres offer excellent grip and traction on a variety of surfaces, whilst the NEWMEN Performance 30 Base wheelset ensures robust and reliable wheel performance.

Comfort is enhanced by the SIXPACK Kamikaze saddle, which, together with the OneUp Dropper V3 seatpost, allows for flexible adjustment of the seat height to adapt quickly to changing terrain conditions. Overall, the HUGENE 2 CF Base is a well-balanced choice for mountain bike enthusiasts who value quality and functionality.
