KTM MAC LYCAN 272 GLORIOUS

The "MAC LYCAN 272 GLORIOUS" from KTM, released in 2021, is a versatile e-mountain bike which, at a price of 4,099 EUR, is positioned in the upper mid-range. The bike’s frame is constructed from a robust Macina Lycan 27.5" Alloy6061 SLL-E 140mm design and is specifically engineered for the Bosch Gen.4 PT625 motor platform.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano M4100 brakes combined with MT420 4-piston calipers, fitted with a Shimano RT64 CL front brake disc (203/180 mm). The drivetrain is a SRAM SX Eagle 12-speed system, operated via the SRAM SX Eagle eClick 12 shifter. Optimal suspension is provided by the Suntour XCR 34 air suspension fork with 140 mm of travel and a 15x110 mm thru-axle, as well as the RockShox Deluxe Select+ rear shock, measuring 230x62.5 mm.

The pedals are flat aluminium MTB pedals, model VPE-527, whilst the crankset is a KTM TRAIL ISIS with a length of 170 mm and Q16. The cassette is an SRAM SX Eagle PG-1210 with a 11–50-tooth range, and the drivetrain is powered by an SRAM NX Eagle 12-speed system.

The handlebars are KTM Comp Rizer25 with a width of 740 mm, complemented by KTM Comp Lock grips and a KTM Comp stem with a 7° angle. The headset is a KTM Team eMTB with an angle range of 1.1/8" to 1.5".

The tyres are Schwalbe Nobby Nic Performance folding tyres in size 65-584, fitted to a wheelset comprising, at the front, a combination of KTM Line, Shimano MT400B CL 32H 110-15TA, Ambrosio E30 Trail 32H 584x30TC and DT Champion 2.0 black spokes. The rear also features a combination of KTM Line, Shimano MT400B CL 32H 148-12TA, Ambrosio E30 Trail 32H 584x30TC and DT Alpine II 2.34 black spokes.

The saddle is a comfortable KTM Line Sport, mounted on a KTM Comp seatpost measuring 30.9/400 mm. The drivetrain is assisted by a Bosch PERFORMANCE CX Gen.4 motor delivering up to 85 Nm of torque, enabling a maximum speed of 25 km/h. The battery is a Bosch PowerTUBE with a capacity of 625 Wh, fitted horizontally, and the system is controlled via a Bosch PURION LCD display.
