KTM LIFE 1964 CROSS

The "LIFE 1964 CROSS" model from KTM, released in 2020, is a versatile trekking bike that impresses with its high-quality components and robust construction. The frame is made from Trekking Offroad Alloy 6061, which is triple-butted and features a tapered headtube. This design ensures stability and durability whilst minimising weight.

For braking performance, the bike is fitted with Shimano MT400 2-piston brakes, which, thanks to their 3-finger brake levers, enable precise and reliable deceleration. Gear changes are handled by a Shimano Deore XT T8000-10 SGS Shadow system, which is renowned for its reliability and shifting precision. The Shimano Deore T6000-10 shifter with display offers clear and intuitive operation. The front derailleur, a Shimano Deore T6-L topswing, completes the shifting system and ensures smooth chain guidance.

The Suntour NCX-E Air LO fork, with 63mm of travel, contributes to a comfortable ride across a wide variety of terrain by effectively absorbing shocks. The bike is also fitted with VP-195E MTB pedals made from a robust aluminium alloy. The crankset consists of Shimano Deore XT T8000 components with a 48-36-26 gear ratio, offering a wide range of gears for various riding conditions. Power is transmitted via a Shimano HG54-10 chain, which is renowned for its durability and efficiency.

The handlebars on the LIFE 1964 CROSS are KTM Comp low-riser bars with a width of 640 mm, which, together with the Ergon GP3 SD grips with bar ends, ensure a comfortable and ergonomic hand position. The stem is a KTM Comp with a 17° angle, which contributes to an upright and comfortable riding position.

The tyres are Schwalbe Smart Sam Perf. 44-622 at both the front and rear, which impress with their good traction and durability. The wheelset consists of KTM Line – Shimano Deore M6000 CL hubs with 32 spokes and Ryde Rival23 rims, as well as DT Competition 2.0 black spokes, ensuring a stable and durable wheel construction.

The bike’s saddle is a KTM Line Cross, which, in combination with the KTM Comp seatpost (27.2/350), ensures a high level of comfort. An adjustable kickstand for 28" wheels from KTM rounds off the features and provides practical support when parking the bike.
