KTM CHICAGO DISC 29

The "CHICAGO DISC 29" model from KTM, released in 2020, is a high-quality mountain bike that impresses with its well-thought-out features and robust construction. The frame is made of aluminium (29" AL6061 MTB CHICAGO DISC M0572-M), which gives the bike excellent stability whilst keeping it lightweight.

For the brakes, KTM has opted for the Shimano MT200 2-piston brakes, which ensure reliable braking performance and safety on a variety of surfaces. The drivetrain features the Shimano Acera M360-8 SGSL, which, in combination with the Shimano Altus SL-M315 8-speed shifters and the Shimano M313 DS front derailleur, ensures precise and smooth gear changes.

The fork is a 29" Suntour SF19-XCT30 HLO DS with 100 mm of travel, which effectively absorbs bumps on rough terrain, thereby enhancing riding comfort. The Shimano TY501 crankset, with 42-34-24 chainrings, offers a versatile range of gears suitable for both steep climbs and fast descents.

The handlebars are a KTM Line Rizer 15 with a width of 720 mm, which, together with the KTM Diamond Grip 130 mm grips featuring orange rings, ensure comfortable and safe handling. The stem is a KTM Line with a 7° angle, which contributes to an ergonomic riding position.

The tyres are Schwalbe SMART SAM K-Guard 54-622 in size 29x2.10 at the front and rear, which are known for their good grip and durability. The wheelset consists of KTM Line - Shimano HB-TX505 32HCL QR hubs and Remerx ROCKY DISC 32H rims in size 622x21, combined with RM 2.0 INOX spokes in silver, ensuring stable and reliable performance.

The saddle is a KTM Line MTB, which, together with the KTM Line seatpost (27.2/350), ensures a comfortable ride even on longer journeys. Overall, the KTM CHICAGO DISC 29 offers a balanced combination of quality, comfort and performance that appeals to both beginners and experienced mountain bikers.
