Kreidler SWYPE 4.0 FS

The SWYPE 4.0 FS model from Kreidler, released in 2023, is a high-quality e-mountain bike which, at a price of 7,699 EUR, is positioned in the upper price bracket. The frame is made from 6061 aluminium and is fully integrated, ensuring an elegant look and stability. With 160 mm of suspension travel and the 12 x 148 mm Boost standard, it provides a solid foundation for demanding off-road rides. The maximum load capacity is 120 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 26 kg.

Braking performance is provided by the Magura MT7 four-piston brakes, fitted with 220 mm discs at the front and 203 mm at the rear. The SRAM XO Eagle 12-speed drivetrain and the SRAM GX Eagle shifter with Single Click function offer precise and reliable gear selection. The fork, a Fox 38 Performance 29 eOptimized, has 160 mm of travel and is fitted with a 3-position micro-adjust function. The Marzocchi Bomber CR shock with trunnion mount provides additional control and comfort.

The bike is fitted with Marwi SP-102 flat aluminium pedals, which provide a secure grip. The crankset is made from Miranda aluminium with a 34-tooth FSA chainring in a narrow-wide design, whilst the SRAM XG-1275 Eagle cassette offers a range of 10–52 teeth. Power is transmitted via a KMC E12 EPT chain.

The handlebars are Humpert Ergotec Low Riser Bars with a width of 780 mm, complemented by Ergon GA20 grips with screw clamps. The stem is a Humpert Ergotec Bass, 45 mm in length. The Acros AZX-585 headset is tapered and features cable routing and a steering stop.

The DT Swiss H1900 Spline rims, combined with Schwalbe Magic Mary tyres at the front and Hans Dampf tyres at the rear, ensure excellent grip and stability on a variety of surfaces. The hubs are also DT Swiss H1900 Spline, with the front hub measuring 15 x 110 mm and the rear hub 12 x 148 mm.

The Ergon SM10 e-MTB saddle offers comfort, whilst the Kind Shock RAGEi seatpost, which is droppable and remote-controlled, provides additional adjustment options. The SWYPE 4.0 FS is powered by a Bosch Performance Line CX mid-drive motor with an output of 250 watts. The fully integrated Bosch frame battery has a capacity of 750 Wh at 36 volts and 20.1 Ah, providing sufficient power for long rides. The Kiox 300 display rounds off the specification and provides all the necessary information at a glance.
