Kreidler Raise RT4

The 2022 Kreidler Raise RT4 is a city bike that stands out for its solid specification and good value for money. Priced at 599 EUR, it offers high-quality components optimised for urban use. The frame is made from 6061 aluminium, giving the bike a robust yet lightweight structure, with a total weight of 18 kg.

The Raise RT4 is fitted with Alhonga V-brakes, which, in combination with the Promax aluminium 3-finger brake levers, provide reliable braking performance. Gear changes are handled by a Shimano Nexus 7-speed hub gear system with a coaster brake, operated via a Shimano Nexus twist grip. This allows for easy and comfortable gear changes, ideal for city traffic.

The bike is fitted with a Suntour CR7V fork, which offers 65 mm of travel to better absorb bumps in the road. Lighting is provided by an AXA Echo LED front light with 15 LUX and a parking light function, as well as an AXA Slim LED rear light, also with a parking light function, which ensures additional safety when cycling at dusk or at night.

The drivetrain consists of a KMC S1 chain set, a plastic-coated steel crankset measuring 170 mm in length with 38 teeth, and a Shimano sprocket with 19 teeth. The handlebars are made of steel and measure 600 mm, whilst the Herrmans DD37 grips feature a screw-on clamp. The stem is a Promax MQ-565 made of aluminium, which is angle-adjustable and offers a four-way clamp.

For added comfort, the Raise RT4 features a suspension seatpost by Promax, made from aluminium with a diameter of 27.2 mm and a length of 300 mm. The saddle is a Selle Royal Rio model. The rims are Schürmann YAK19 aluminium hollow-section rims with 36 holes, fitted with Schwalbe Citizen tyres in size 42-622 with reflective strips for improved visibility.

The bike is also fitted with an Ursus side stand, SKS plastic mudguards and a strut-free luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap. The hubs consist of a Shimano DH-C3000 hub dynamo at the front and a Shimano Nexus 7-speed SG-C3001-7C rear hub with coaster brake, both with 36 holes. The spokes are made of stainless steel with a diameter of 2.0 mm.
