Kreidler Raise RT4

The 2021 Kreidler Raise RT4 is a sturdy trekking bike, available for 589 EUR. The frame is made from 6061 aluminium and is designed for 28-inch wheels, giving the bike a total weight of 17 kg. The model is fitted with Promax V-brakes, which, in combination with the Shimano Altus ST-EF500 brake levers, ensure reliable braking performance. The drivetrain consists of a Shimano Acera RD-M360 8-speed system, complemented by Shimano Altus shifters and a Shimano FD-TY71 front derailleur, which enable precise gear selection.

The aluminium Suntour CR-7V fork offers 65 mm of travel, which helps to absorb bumps and enhances riding comfort. Lighting is provided by the AXA Echo 15 LED front light with 15 LUX and a parking light, as well as the AXA Slim LED rear light, which also features a parking light function. The pedals are made from Marwi plastic, whilst the Shimano TY-301 crankset has a length of 170 mm and a tooth count of 48/38/28. The Shimano CS-HG200 cassette offers a range of 12–32 teeth and is complemented by a KMC X8 chain.

The handlebars are 600 mm wide steel trekking handlebars, fitted with Herrmans Ergo 84B grips for added comfort. The Promax MQ-565 aluminium stem is angle-adjustable and features a 4-way clamp. The semi-integrated headset by Chin Haur measures 1 1/8 inches. The Schürmann YAK19 aluminium hollow-section rims are fitted with Kenda trekking tyres in size 42-622, which feature reflective strips. The front hub is a Shimano DH-C3000 dynamo hub, whilst the rear hub is a Shimano FH-TX500 model. Both are fitted with 2.0 mm diameter stainless steel spokes.

The Selle Royal Rio saddle sits on a suspension-equipped Promax aluminium seatpost with a diameter of 27.2 mm and a length of 300 mm. Plastic mudguards from SKS provide protection against splashes, whilst an Ursus side stand ensures stability when parked. The luggage rack is strutless and fitted with a practical spring-loaded flap, which makes it easier to carry smaller loads. Overall, the Kreidler Raise RT4 offers a good balance of comfort, functionality and value for money, making it ideal for trekking and everyday cycling.
