KAYZA Alvar 2

The Alvar 2 model from KAYZA, launched in 2022, offers a balanced combination of functionality and value for money. With a retail price of 659 EUR, this bike is aimed at price-conscious buyers who nevertheless do not wish to compromise on quality and reliability. Fitted with PROMAX “TX123” V-brakes and SHIMANO “ST-EF41” brake levers, the Alvar 2 ensures reliable braking performance, supported by a 160 mm front brake disc. Gear changes are handled by the SHIMANO “RD-TX800” system, complemented by the SHIMANO front derailleur “FD-TY510” and “ST-EF41” shift levers, enabling precise and easy gear changes.

The front of the bike is rounded off by the SUNTOUR “NEX DS 700” fork with 63 mm of travel, which ensures comfort on uneven terrain. The VP “BC73 C” bottom bracket and the SHIMANO “TZ510” sprocket with freehub provide a robust and durable drivetrain, whilst the KMC Z7 chain ensures efficient power transfer. The aluminium handlebars, model HL “MTB-153”, with a width of 660 mm, together with the VELO “VLG-1115” grips, provide a comfortable and controlled riding position.

The HL TDS-C507-8FOV stem in black completes the overall look and ensures stability. The KAYZA “X2” hollow-section rims, combined with SCHWALBE “G-ONE Bite” performance tyres – which stand out thanks to their bronze sidewalls – offer excellent grip and puncture protection on a wide variety of surfaces. The SHIMANO “TX505” hubs, both front and rear, are fitted with 32 black stainless steel spokes, contributing to a sturdy and durable wheel construction.

The CROSS “Corex” saddle, together with the PROMAX “SP-2016” seatpost with a diameter of 27.2 mm, ensures comfort on longer rides. Overall, the Alvar 2 is a well-designed bike that is suitable for both everyday use and occasional tours, whilst offering excellent value for money.
