Kalkhoff ENTICE 5.B ADVANCE+

The "ENTICE 5.B ADVANCE+" model from Kalkhoff, launched in 2022, is a high-quality e-bike priced at 4,549 euros, placing it in the upper mid-range. The frame is made from robust IntegrAle 0.6 CX aluminium, which ensures stability and durability. The bike is fitted with a Shimano MT420 braking system, which delivers excellent braking performance thanks to hydraulic 4-piston disc brakes and 180 mm rotors at both the front and rear.

The drivetrain consists of a Shimano SLX 12-speed system, offering a wide gear range of 38 at the front and 10–51 at the rear. The Shimano Deore M6100 shifter enables precise gear changes. The Suntour Mobie25 Air fork with lockout and a 15 mm thru-axle ensures a comfortable and controlled ride, even on uneven terrain.

For lighting, the e-bike is fitted with a powerful Litemove 110 LED front light and a Trelock Stop LED rear light, which ensure optimum visibility. The aluminium MTB flat pedals are fitted with reflectors, offering additional safety. Power is delivered via the Shimano CN-LG50, whilst the aluminium crankset has a length of 170 mm.

The front hub is a Shimano Alivio MT400 (15x100 mm QR) and the rear hub is a Shimano Alivio MT410 (12x142 mm thru-axle), with Niro spokes providing additional strength. The Selle Royal Vivo saddle and the Concept EX aluminium seatpost contribute to a comfortable riding experience.

Plastic mudguards with edge protection are fitted to protect against splashes, and the Racktime system rack allows for easy transport of luggage. The e-bike is powered by a Bosch Performance Line CX motor with 36 V, 250 W and a torque of 85 Nm. The Bosch Intuvia LCD display with control unit and pedal assist offers a user-friendly interface.

The bike’s geometry is thoughtfully designed, with a reach of 402 mm, a stack of 679 mm, a seat tube length of 530 mm and a top tube length of 609 mm. The head tube angle is 71 degrees and the seat tube angle is 73 degrees, which allows for a balanced riding position. Other dimensions include a head tube length of 180 mm, a chainstay length of 494 mm, a bottom bracket drop of 65 mm, a fork offset of 44 mm, a top tube height of 565 mm, a fork installation height of 484 mm and a wheelbase of 1149 mm.
