Kalkhoff ENDEAVOUR 8

The "ENDEAVOUR 8" model from Kalkhoff, launched in 2023, is a versatile trekking bike which, at a price of 1299 EUR, represents an attractive option for cyclists who value quality and functionality. The bike’s frame is made of aluminium and is designated ‘Trekking 1.6’, which contributes to a maximum permissible total weight of 130 kg.

The ENDEAVOUR 8’s braking system consists of Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, with 180 mm front and 160 mm rear rotors, ensuring reliable braking performance. The gear system is an 8-speed Shimano Nexus, operated via a Shimano Alfine gear lever, and offers a comfortable range of gears for varying terrain conditions.

Comfort is provided by the SR Suntour NEX fork, which features 63 mm of travel and can be adjusted to enhance riding comfort on uneven terrain. The bike’s lighting is provided by the Herrmans H-Black MR4 LED front light and the Herrmans H-Trace LED rear light, ensuring good visibility in low-light conditions.

The Selle Royal Nuvola saddle offers comfort on longer rides and is supported by a Magix aluminium seatpost. The bike is also fitted with plastic mudguards with edge protection and features an aluminium luggage rack with a Snap-IT system for additional carrying options.

The bike’s geometry is characterised by a reach of 405 mm, a stack of 659 mm and a seat tube length of 550 mm. The head tube angle is 70 degrees, the seat tube angle 73 degrees, complemented by a head tube length of 180 mm. The chainstay length is 455 mm, the bottom bracket is lowered by 65 mm, and the fork offset is 45 mm. The top tube height is 865 mm, the fork installation height is 465 mm, the crank length is 170 mm and the wheelbase is 1119 mm.
