Kalkhoff AGATTU 24

The “AGATTU 24” model from Kalkhoff, launched in 2021, is a versatile trekking bike which, at a price of 649 EUR, represents an attractive option for cyclists looking for a reliable and comfortable bike. The frame is made of aluminium – specifically the Trekking 0.5 V2 – which gives the bike a sturdy yet lightweight base.

Braking performance is provided by the Shimano Alivio V-brake system, which, in combination with the Shimano STEF-500 brake levers, offers precise and reliable control. The gear system is also by Shimano Alivio and, with its 24 gears, offers a wide range of gear ratios, controlled via the Shimano Acera gear levers. This allows for flexible adaptation to different riding conditions and types of terrain.

The SR Suntour NEX fork has 63 mm of travel and can be individually adjusted to enhance comfort on uneven terrain. Visibility on the road is ensured by the Herrmans MR GO LED front light with 20 lux and the AXA Blueline LED rear light, which features a parking light function.

Further features include comfortable pedals with anti-slip protection and reflectors, a Shimano Acera crankset measuring 170 mm in length, and a Shimano HG200 cassette. Power is transmitted via a KMC X8 chain. The Concept Tour handlebars and Concept grips offer comfortable handling and control. The aluminium stem is adjustable and measures 80 mm.

The bike is fitted with Concept SDR light rims and Schwalbe Citizen tyres in size 47-622, which ensure a good balance between smooth running and stability. The front hub is a Shimano Nexus DH-C3000 hub dynamo, whilst the rear hub is made of aluminium. The spokes are made of stainless steel, which increases their durability.

The Kalkhoff Sport Comfort saddle and the suspension-equipped, patented seatpost contribute to riding comfort, particularly on longer rides. Practical plastic mudguards with edge protection offer protection against splashes and dirt. A sturdy aluminium luggage rack completes the package, providing ample space for bags or other luggage.
