The 2021 i:SY DrivE S8 ZR is a compact e-bike which, at a price of 3,499 EUR, represents an attractive option for anyone looking for a high-quality and reliable bike. The bike’s frame is made of aluminium and is specifically designed as an I:SY Bosch Belt model, ensuring a robust and durable construction. With a maximum load capacity of 140 kg, the bike is also suitable for heavier loads, making it ideal for everyday use.

The DrivE S8 ZR’s braking system is fitted with SHIMANO “MT-M402” disc brakes, which work in conjunction with SHIMANO “RT54” brake discs – 180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear. This combination ensures reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions. Gear changes are handled by the SHIMANO “Nexus” 8-speed hub gear system, which, together with the SHIMANO “Nexus” gear lever, enables precise and easy gear selection.

The fork is made of aluminium and is specifically designed for use with disc brakes. Lighting is provided at the front by the B&M “Lumotec IQ Eyc” with a light output of 50 lux, whilst a B&M rear light ensures visibility in road traffic. The UNION “SP-153” folding pedals offer comfort and flexibility, particularly when stowing the bike.

The DrivE S8 ZR’s drivetrain is based on a GATES “Centertrack CDX” belt, which, in combination with the STRONGLIGHT “Magan” crankset and the GATES “CDX” 22-tooth sprocket, enables virtually maintenance-free operation. The handlebars are ERGOTEC “Ladytown” with a diameter of 31.8 mm, combined with HERRMANS “Line” grips for ergonomic comfort. The stem is an ERGOTEC “Piranha 650B”, which, together with the SPEEDLIFTER “T17”, allows for flexible adjustment of the handlebar height.

The rims are MACH 1 “Kargo Disc”, fitted with SCHWALBE “Super Moto-X” tyres in size 62-406, which ensure good road holding and shock absorption. The front hub is a SHIMANO “Deore HB-M6000” QR and the rear hub is a SHIMANO “Nexus Disc” 8-speed RBN, providing a solid foundation for the wheelset. The SELLE ROYAL “Nuvola 5060” saddle and the CONTEC Patent “Brut” seatpost offer comfort on longer rides.

Additional features such as the CURANA “C-Lite” mudguards, the M-TEC “Aluminium Belt” chain guard, the PLETSCHER “Comp 18 Flex” kickstand and the RACKTIME “Stand it Shine Evo i:SY” luggage rack with integrated light round off the overall package. The i:SY DrivE S8 ZR is powered by a BOSCH “Active Plus” mid-drive motor with a rated continuous power output of 250 W and a voltage of 36 V. Power is supplied by a BOSCH lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 500 Wh, which, together with the BOSCH “Intuvia” display, allows for convenient control of the e-bike.
