i:SY DrivE S8 ZR orange

The "DrivE S8 ZR orange" model from the i:SY brand, released in 2021, is a high-quality e-bike which, at a price of 3,499 euros, is positioned in the mid-range price segment. The frame is made of aluminium and is designated ‘I:SY Bosch Belt’, indicating a robust and durable construction. The maximum permissible weight is 140 kg, which provides sufficient capacity for both the rider and any additional luggage.

The bike’s braking system comprises SHIMANO “MT-M402” brakes and brake levers, complemented by SHIMANO “RT54” brake discs with a diameter of 180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear, both featuring Centre Lock mounting. This combination ensures reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions. The gear system is an 8-speed SHIMANO “Nexus”, which is easily operated via a SHIMANO “Nexus” gear lever.

Suspension is provided by an aluminium disc fork, which ensures additional stability. The lighting comprises a B&M “Lumotec IQ Eyc” front light with 50 lux and a B&M rear light, ensuring good visibility in road traffic. The UNION “SP-153” folding pedals offer flexibility and comfort whilst riding.

The e-bike is powered by a BOSCH “Active Plus” mid-drive motor with a rated continuous power output of 250 W and a voltage of 36 V. The rims are MACH 1 “Kargo Disc”, fitted with SCHWALBE “Super Moto-X” tyres in size 62-406 at both the front and rear. The front hub is a SHIMANO “Deore HB-M6000” QR and the rear hub is a SHIMANO “Nexus Disc” 8-speed RBN. The spokes are made of stainless steel, which contributes to the bike’s durability.

The saddle is a SELLE ROYAL “Nuvola 5060”, mounted on a CONTEC Patent “Brut” aluminium seatpost measuring Ø 31.6 x 400 mm. The mudguards are CURANA “C-Lite” composite, which are both lightweight and robust. The chain guard is made of M-TEC aluminium and effectively protects the belt.

A PLETSCHER “Comp 18 Flex” kickstand ensures the bike stands securely, whilst the RACKTIME “Stand it Shine Evo i:SY” luggage rack with integrated light provides additional storage space. The battery is a BOSCH lithium-ion model with a capacity of 500 Wh (36 V, 13.88 Ah) and is controlled via a BOSCH Intuvia display, which offers four assistance levels as well as a push assist.
