i:SY DrivE S8 ZR grün

The “DrivE S8 ZR green” model from the i:SY brand, released in 2021, is a high-quality e-bike which, at a price of 3,499 EUR, is positioned in the upper mid-range. The bike’s frame is made of robust aluminium and is specifically designed for the Bosch Belt drive. The maximum permissible weight is 140 kg, which allows for versatile use, even for heavier riders or with additional luggage.

Braking performance is provided by SHIMANO “MT-M402” brakes and brake levers, fitted with SHIMANO “RT54” brake discs. The front brake disc has a diameter of 180 mm, whilst the rear measures 160 mm; both feature Centre Lock mounting. The gear system is an 8-speed SHIMANO “Nexus”, operated via a dedicated gear lever. The aluminium disc fork contributes to stability and steering precision.

Lighting is provided at the front by a B&M “Lumotec IQ Eyc” with 50 lux and at the rear by a B&M rear light, ensuring good visibility in road traffic. The UNION “SP-153” folding pedals are practical and space-saving. The crankset consists of a STRONGLIGHT “Magan” GATES “CDX, 55T”, whilst the GATES “CDX” sprocket has 22 teeth. Power is transmitted via a GATES “Centertrack CDX” belt, which is renowned for its durability and low maintenance.

The handlebars are ERGOTEC “Ladytown” with a diameter of 31.8 mm, complemented by HERRMANS “Line” grips for comfortable handling. The stem is an ERGOTEC “Piranha 650B”, fitted with a SPEEDLIFTER “T17” offering 170 mm of reach. The headset is an FSA “54” with a 1 1/4” thread.

The rims are MACH 1 “Kargo Disc”, combined with SCHWALBE “Super Moto-X” tyres in size 62-406 at both the front and rear. The front hub is a SHIMANO “Deore HB-M6000” QR and the rear hub is a SHIMANO “Nexus Disc” 8-speed RBN. The spokes are made of stainless steel.

The saddle is the SELLE ROYAL “Nuvola 5060” model, fitted to a CONTEC “Brut” aluminium seatpost. The mudguards are CURANA “C-Lite” made from composite material, whilst the chain guard is made from M-TEC aluminium for the Belt. A PLETSCHER “Comp 18 Flex” kickstand provides stability when stationary, and the RACKTIME “Stand it Shine Evo i:SY” luggage rack with integrated light enhances functionality.

The e-bike’s motor is a BOSCH “Active Plus” mid-drive motor with a rated continuous power output of 250 W at 36 V. The drive is powered by a BOSCH lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 500 Wh, which enables a range suitable for longer journeys. The BOSCH “Intuvia” display offers four assistance levels and a push assist, which can be controlled via a remote control. Overall, the i:SY DrivE S8 ZR green is a well-equipped e-bike that is suitable for both everyday use and longer tours.
