The 2021 “DrivE S8 ZR grey” model from the i:SY brand is a high-quality e-bike which, at a price of 3,499 EUR, is positioned in the premium segment. The frame is made from robust I:SY Bosch Belt aluminium, which is renowned for its durability and stability, and has a maximum load capacity of up to 140 kg.

The SHIMANO “MT-M402” system has been fitted for the braking system, comprising both the brakes and the brake levers. The brake discs measure 180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear, both using the Centre Lock system, which ensures reliable braking performance. The gear system is a SHIMANO “Nexus” 8-speed hub gear, which, together with the SHIMANO “Nexus” gear lever, enables precise and easy gear selection.

The fork is made of aluminium and is designed for disc brakes. Lighting is provided at the front by the B&M “Lumotec IQ Eyc” with 50 lux and at the rear by a B&M rear light, ensuring good visibility in road traffic. The UNION “SP-153” folding pedals offer flexibility and comfort.

Power is transmitted via the GATES “Centertrack CDX” belt, paired with a STRONGLIGHT “Magan” crankset and a GATES “CDX” sprocket with 22 teeth. The handlebars are ERGOTEC “Ladytown” with a diameter of 31.8 mm, fitted with HERRMANS “Line” grips for a comfortable ride. The stem is an ERGOTEC “Piranha 650B” with a SPEEDLIFTER “T17”, which allows for height adjustment.

The e-bike rides on MACH 1 “Kargo Disc” rims with SCHWALBE “Super Moto-X” tyres, fitted in size 62-406 at both the front and rear. The front hub is a SHIMANO “Deore HB-M6000” QR and the rear hub is a SHIMANO “Nexus Disc” 8-speed RBN.

The saddle is a SELLE ROYAL “Nuvola 5060”, mounted on a CONTEC Patent “Brut” aluminium seatpost. CURANA “C-Lite” mudguards and an M-TEC “Aluminium Belt” chain guard provide protection against dirt and wet conditions. The PLETSCHER “Comp 18 Flex” kickstand offers stability when parking the bike.

The RACKTIME “Stand it Shine Evo i:SY” luggage rack is fitted with an integrated light, which enhances its functionality. Power is provided by a BOSCH “Active Plus” mid-drive motor with a rated continuous power output of 250 W at 36 V. The battery is a BOSCH lithium-ion unit with a capacity of 500 Wh, which provides a good range. The BOSCH “Intuvia” display offers four assistance levels, as well as a remote control and push assist, to make operating the e-bike easier.
