i:SY DrivE S8 RT rot

The "DrivE S8 RT red" model from i:SY, released in 2021, is a versatile and robust e-bike, available at a price of 2,899 EUR. The frame is made of aluminium and is specifically designed for use with Bosch components. With a maximum permissible weight of 140 kg, it offers sufficient load capacity for both rider and luggage.

The bike’s brakes and brake levers are MAGURA’s “HS22” model, ensuring reliable braking performance. The gear system is an 8-speed SHIMANO “Nexus”, which, together with the gear lever of the same model, enables precise gear selection. The fork is also made of aluminium and contributes to the bike’s stability.

The front light is a B&M “Lumotec IQ Eyc” with 50 lux, whilst the rear light is also from B&M, ensuring good visibility and safety on the road. The pedals are UNION “SP-153” folding pedals, which can be folded away to save space when required.

The bottom bracket is supplied by BOSCH, whilst the STRONGLIGHT crankset, with 44 teeth, is made of aluminium. The cassette is a 16-tooth model from SHIMANO, and the drivetrain is powered by a KMC “E01 EPT” chain.

The handlebars are ERGOTEC “Ladytown” with a diameter of 31.8 mm, complemented by HERRMANS “Line” grips. The stem is an ERGOTEC “Piranha 650B” with a SPEEDLIFTER “T14”, offering 140 mm of reach. The headset is the VP “A42E” model.

The rims are MACH 1 “Kargo”, and the tyres are SCHWALBE “Big Ben Plus” in size 55-406 on both the front and rear. The front hub is a SHIMANO “Deore HB-T610”, whilst the rear hub is a SHIMANO “Nexus” 8-speed RBN, supported by stainless steel spokes.

The saddle is a SELLE ROYAL “Nuvola 5060”, mounted on a CONTEC Patent “Brut” aluminium seatpost with a diameter of 27.2 mm and a length of 400 mm. The mudguards are made from CURANA “C-Lite” composite, and the chain guard is a HEBIE “Chainglider”.

A PLETSCHER “Comp 18 Flex” kickstand ensures the bike stands securely, whilst the RACKTIME “Stand it Shine Evo i:SY” luggage rack with integrated light offers additional functionality.

The motor is a BOSCH “Active” mid-drive motor with a rated continuous power output of 250 W at 36 V. The battery is a BOSCH lithium-ion model with a capacity of 400 Wh (11.11 Ah at 36 V), providing a solid range for everyday use. The display is a BOSCH “Intuvia”, which offers four assistance levels and features a remote control as well as a push assist function. This e-bike model combines high-quality components with a well-thought-out design for a comfortable riding experience.
