The “DrivE S8 red” model from the i:SY brand, launched in 2021, is a versatile e-bike which, at a price of 2,899 EUR, represents an attractive option in the e-bike market. The bike’s frame is made of aluminium and is specifically designed for the Bosch motor, resulting in a robust yet lightweight construction. The bike’s maximum permissible weight is 140 kg, ensuring a high load capacity.

Fitted with the MAGURA “HS22” braking system and matching brake levers, the bike offers reliable braking power and safety. Gear changes are controlled via the SHIMANO “Nexus” 8-speed hub gear system, which, together with the matching gear lever, ensures precise gear changes. The aluminium fork contributes to the bike’s stability and durability.

Lighting is provided by the B&M “Lumotec IQ Eyc” front light with a luminous intensity of 50 lux, as well as a rear light, also from B&M, which ensures good visibility in road traffic. The UNION “SP-153” folding pedals offer flexibility when transporting and storing the bike. The drivetrain features a BOSCH bottom bracket and a STRONGLIGHT “Magan” crankset with a 44-tooth aluminium chainring, as well as a SHIMANO 16-tooth sprocket, which, together with the KMC “E01 EPT” chain, ensures efficient power transfer.

The ERGOTEC “Ladytown” handlebars, with a diameter of 31.8 mm, and the HERRMANS “Line” grips offer comfort and control, whilst the ERGOTEC “Piranha 650B” stem with SPEEDLIFTER “T14” function allows for 140 mm of extension to individually adjust the handlebar height. The VP “A42E” headset ensures precise steering.

The MACH 1 “Kargo” rims are fitted with SCHWALBE “Big Ben Plus” tyres, which, in size 55-406 at both the front and rear, ensure good traction and comfort. The front hub is a SHIMANO “Deore HB-T610” and the rear hub is a SHIMANO “Nexus” 8-speed hub, whilst stainless steel spokes provide additional stability.

The SELLE ROYAL “Nuvola 5060” saddle and the CONTEC Patent “Brut” aluminium seatpost ensure a comfortable riding position. CURANA “C-Lite” mudguards made from composite material protect against splashes, whilst the HEBIE “Chainglider” chain guard keeps the chain clean. The PLETSCHER “Comp 18 Flex” kickstand provides stability when parking the bike.

A RACKTIME “Stand it Shine Evo i:SY” luggage rack with integrated light expands the bike’s carrying capacity. The BOSCH “Active” mid-drive motor, with a rated continuous power output of 250 W and a voltage of 36 V, combined with the BOSCH lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 400 Wh, provides reliable assistance whilst cycling. The BOSCH “Intuvia” display allows you to control the motor assistance across four levels and offers a push-assist function.
