Husqvarna E-Bicycles Mountain Cross 6

The 2020 Mountain Cross 6 from Husqvarna E-Bicycles is a high-performance e-mountain bike designed for challenging all-mountain adventures. Priced at EUR 5,199, it offers a wide range of high-quality components and technical features that appeal to both experienced mountain bikers and beginners.

The Mountain Cross 6’s frame is made from a robust 27.5" 6061 aluminium alloy and features the Skeleton Interface Design. It is fitted with a fully integrated battery and, thanks to the Full Active 4-Link system, offers 150 mm of suspension travel. The bike is designed to carry a total weight of up to 130 kg, whilst its own weight is 24 kg.

Reliable braking performance is ensured by the SHIMANO BR-MT520 hydraulic disc brake system with four pistons and ServoWave technology. The front brake disc measures 203 mm, whilst the rear disc is 180 mm; both are secured using a 6-bolt system. The bike’s gear changes are handled by the SRAM GX-12 Eagle 12-speed system, complemented by the SRAM NX-E Trigger shifter with Single Click function.

Suspension is provided by the ROCK SHOX 35 Gold RL fork with Debon Air technology and 150 mm of travel, as well as the ROCK SHOX Deluxe Ultimate RCT shock absorber with Debonair technology. The crankset is made from a forged aluminium alloy by HUSQVARNA with a length of 170 mm, whilst the chainring is a SRAM GX EAGLE PG-1230 with a range of 11–42T.

The Mountain Cross 6 is fitted with a HUSQVARNA MTB35 handlebar, which is 780 mm wide and has a 20 mm rise. The ergonomic ERGON GA20 grips provide additional comfort on long rides. The stem is also from HUSQVARNA and measures 40 mm with a 0° angle. The ACROS ZS44/56 headsets are semi-integrated and specially developed for Husqvarna.

The 27.5" HQV Edition RYDE DISC35 rims are fitted with SCHWALBE NOBBY NIC Performance tyres, which are 2.35 inches wide. The hubs are Pro Boost models from HUSQVARNA, with a 15x110 mm front and 12x148 mm rear configuration, and feature a 6-bolt system.

Power is provided by a SHIMANO STePS DU-E8000 motor with a torque of 70 Nm, powered by an internal SIMPLO battery with a capacity of 630 Wh. The SHIMANO SC-E8000 LCD display offers a colour screen as well as ANT+ and Bluetooth functionality for comprehensive connectivity and control.

The spec is rounded off by the HUSQVARNA MTB RDE saddle and the HUSQVARNA dropper post, which is adjustable in length depending on frame size. The saddle is secured using a quick-release clamp with a diameter of 34.9 mm. This model offers an impressive combination of performance, comfort and technology, making it an attractive option in the e-mountain bike segment.
