Husqvarna E-Bicycles Mountain Cross 5

The 2020 Mountain Cross 5 from Husqvarna E-Bicycles is a versatile e-mountain bike that is ideal for challenging all-mountain adventures. Priced at 4699 EUR, it offers an impressive combination of advanced technology and robust construction. The frame is made from 27.5" 6061 alloy and features a Skeleton Interface with a fully integrated battery. The fully active 4-link suspension system offers 150 mm of travel, which, combined with the SR SUNTOUR ZERON35 air fork and the SR SUNTOUR EDGE LOR8 shock, ensures excellent damping and control on rough terrain.

The bike’s total weight is 24 kg, and it is designed for a maximum rider weight of up to 130 kg. The braking system consists of SHIMANO BR-MT420 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes, complemented by SHIMANO SM-RT66 brake discs with a diameter of 203 mm at the front and 180 mm at the rear. This ensures reliable braking performance under a wide range of conditions.

Gear changes are handled by the SRAM NX-11 system with 11 speeds, controlled via the SRAM NX Trigger shifter. The drivetrain is supported by a KMC X11e chain, whilst the crankset is constructed from HUSQVARNA Forged Alloy. The cassette is an SRAM NX PG-1130 with a gear ratio of 11-42T.

The handlebars on the Mountain Cross 5 are HUSQVARNA MTB35, 780 mm wide, complemented by ergonomic ERGON GA20 grips. The stem is also made from HUSQVARNA alloy. The HQV Edition RYDE DISC35 rims are fitted with SCHWALBE NOBBY NIC Performance tyres in size 27.5x2.35, ensuring excellent traction.

The e-bike is powered by the SHIMANO STePS DU-E8000 motor, delivering a torque of 70 Nm. Power is supplied by a SIMPLO 630Wh internal battery, which can be controlled via a SHIMANO SC-E7000 LED display with ANT+ and Bluetooth functionality.

In addition, the Mountain Cross 5 features a HUSQVARNA Dropper Post seatpost, which is adjustable depending on frame size, as well as a HUSQVARNA MTB RDE saddle for added comfort.
