Husqvarna E-Bicycles Light Cross 6

The 2021 “Light Cross 6” model from Husqvarna E-Bicycles is a high-performance e-bike designed for discerning riders. Priced at 3,999 EUR, it offers a good balance between performance and features. The frame is made from a robust 6061 alloy construction, designed as a hardtail with a Skeleton Interface and an integrated battery, and features a 12x148mm rear axle. The maximum permissible weight is 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 23 kg.

Braking performance is provided by Magura MT2 hydraulic disc brakes, complemented by a 180mm Magura MDR-C brake disc at the front. The drivetrain is a SRAM SX Eagle 12-speed system, which, together with the Single Click shifter, ensures precise gear changes. The SR Suntour XCR32 LOR fork, with 120 mm of travel and a tapered design, ensures a comfortable ride even on uneven terrain.

The bike is fitted with Husqvarna alloy pedals and a forged alloy crankset. The cassette is a SRAM PG-1210, offering a gear range of 11–50T across 12 gears. The handlebars are 720 mm wide with a 9° sweep and a 22 mm rise, whilst the stem is 50 mm long and has a 7° angle.

The Ryde Disc30 rims are tubeless-compatible and are fitted with Schwalbe Nobby Nic tyres in size 29x2.60, ensuring excellent grip. The hubs are Husqvarna’s own designs with a 6-bolt mounting, measuring 15x110 mm at the front and 12x148 mm at the rear, connected by black stainless steel spokes with a diameter of 2 mm.

The Husqvarna MTB saddle sits on a seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a length of either 350 mm or 450 mm, depending on the frame size. The saddle clamp is made of aluminium and features a quick-release mechanism.

The Light Cross 6 is powered by a Shimano STePS DU-E8000 motor with an output of 250W and a torque of 70Nm. The power pack is a Simplo TPS battery with a capacity of 630Wh, offering a voltage of 36V and a capacity of 17.5Ah. The Shimano SC-E5000 LCD display, including the shifter, ensures intuitive control of the drive system.
