Husqvarna E-Bicycles Hard Cross 9

The "Hard Cross 9" model from Husqvarna E-Bicycles, launched in 2020, is a high-quality e-mountain bike designed specifically for demanding enduro rides. Priced at EUR 7,499, it offers a wide range of advanced technical features and specifications designed for performance and comfort. The Hard Cross 9’s frame is made from 27.5” 6061 alloy and is fitted with an Enduro Skeleton Interface. The fully integrated battery and the Full Active 4-Link suspension system, with 180 mm of travel, ensure optimum weight distribution and riding stability. The maximum permissible weight is 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 25 kg.

The Hard Cross 9’s braking system comprises SHIMANO DEORE XT brakes with BR-MT8020 4-piston calipers, which deliver outstanding braking performance. The brake discs measure 203 mm at the front and 180 mm at the rear, both featuring an alloy Spyder design and CentreLock mounting. Gear changes are controlled via SHIMANO DEORE XT Di2 technology, which offers precise and reliable gear-shifting control with 11 speeds. The shift lever is also a SHIMANO DEORE XT Di2 model.

Suspension is provided by a FOX 36 FLOAT fork from the Factory Series with 180 mm of travel, whilst the FOX FLOAT X2 shock from the Factory Series offers 225 mm of travel. These components have been specially developed for e-bikes and offer excellent damping and control on rough terrain. The bike is fitted with VP COMPONENTS pedals and features a HUSQVARNA crankset made from forged aluminium, measuring 165 mm in length.

The drivetrain is supported by the KMC X11e chain, whilst the cassette is a SHIMANO DEORE XT model with an 11-42T range. The handlebars are a HUSQVARNA MTB35 model with a width of 780 mm, a rise of 20 mm, a back sweep of 9° and an up sweep of 6°, which allows for a comfortable riding position. The ERGON GA20 grips offer additional comfort and control.

The bike is fitted with SCHWALBE EDDY CURRENT tyres, sized 27.5x2.8 at both the front and rear, and features a robust, tubeless-ready wheel configuration with the DT SWISS H1501 SPLINE wheelset. The saddle is a HUSQVARNA ENDR RDE model, combined with a KINDSHOK E20i dropper post for adjustable saddle height.

The Hard Cross 9 is powered by a SHIMANO STePS DU-E8000 motor, which delivers 70 Nm of torque, paired with a SIMPLO internal battery with a capacity of 630 Wh. The SHIMANO SC-E8000 LCD colour display offers ANT+ and Bluetooth functionality for easy control and monitoring of the system. Overall, the Hard Cross 9 offers an impressive combination of technology and design for the discerning enduro rider.
