Husqvarna E-Bicycles Gran Urban 6 FW

The "Gran Urban 6 FW" model from Husqvarna E-Bicycles, launched in 2021, is a high-quality e-bike designed specifically for urban use. Priced at 4499 EUR, it offers a wide range of technical features and specifications tailored to the needs of city commuters. The frame is made from a robust aluminium alloy (Alloy 6061) and seamlessly integrates the battery, giving it a sleek appearance. The bike’s total weight is 26 kg, and it can carry a maximum load of up to 130 kg.

The e-bike is fitted with Shimano hydraulic disc brakes (BR-MT400), which, in combination with the 160mm Centre Lock front brake disc, ensure reliable braking performance. Gear changes are controlled via the Shimano Nexus 5 system with Di2 technology, enabling precise and low-maintenance gear selection. The shift lever is the Shimano SW-E7000, also featuring Di2 technology.

Comfort on uneven roads is ensured by the SR Suntour Mobie25 LOR air suspension fork with 75mm of travel. The lighting system comprises a Supernova V512S front light, which provides 100 lux, and a Herrmans H-Cargo rear light to ensure safety in the dark. The e-bike features Husqvarna Alloy pedals, an aluminium crankset and a Shimano Nexus 5 sprocket with 27 teeth.

Power is transmitted via a KMC Z610 HX chain, whilst the handlebars, with a 6° sweep and an 18mm rise, ensure a comfortable riding position. The grips are ergonomically designed and fitted with a lock-on system. The stem is adjustable and measures 80mm in length.

The Ryde Rival30 rims are fitted with Schwalbe Super MOTO-X tyres, which offer additional puncture protection thanks to their Green Guard technology. The front hub is a Husqvarna (DC-71) and the rear hub is a Shimano Nexus 5, matching the gear system.

The saddle is the Husqvarna Ergo model, mounted on a Husqvarna dropper seatpost, which allows for individual adjustment of the seat height. Aluminium mudguards and an adjustable kickstand provide additional convenience for everyday use. The luggage rack is compatible with the CarryMore system and offers versatile transport options.

The Gran Urban 6 FW is powered by a Shimano STePS DU-E6100 motor with an output of 250W and a torque of 60Nm (or 50Nm when used with 8-speed hubs). The battery has a capacity of 504Wh, which guarantees sufficient range for urban journeys. The Shimano SC-E6100 LCD display offers ANT+ and Bluetooth connectivity for easy control and monitoring of ride data.
