Husqvarna E-Bicycles Gran Tourer 6

The 2020 “Gran Tourer 6” from Husqvarna E-Bicycles is a versatile e-bike designed specifically for touring cyclists. Priced at 4399 EUR, it is positioned in the premium segment and offers a wide range of high-quality components and technical features. The frame is made from 27.5-inch aluminium alloy (Alloy 6061) and features a Skeleton Interface as well as a fully integrated battery, ensuring a seamless look and improved aerodynamics. With a maximum permissible weight of 130 kg and a kerb weight of 24 kg, the bike is robustly built to tackle even the most demanding tours.

The braking system comprises SHIMANO BR-MT400 hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm rotors at both the front and rear, ensuring reliable braking performance. The gear system is fitted with the SHIMANO DEORE XT Di2 system, which, with 11 speeds and Shadow Plus technology, ensures precise and rapid gear changes. The shift lever is also a SHIMANO Di2 model, completing the electronic gear system.

The suspension is provided by the SR SUNTOUR MOBIE25 fork with 75 mm of travel, which effectively absorbs shocks and thus ensures comfort on uneven terrain. For lighting, a SUPERNOVA V512S front light and a HERRMANS H-Cargo rear light are integrated, both compliant with the StVZO to ensure safety when cycling at night.

The spec is complemented by high-quality components, including a HUSQVARNA crankset, a SHIMANO SLX cassette with an 11–42T range and a KMC X11e drivetrain. The handlebars are 720 mm wide and, with a 38 mm rise and a 9° back sweep, offer a comfortable riding position. The stem is adjustable and made of aluminium, allowing for flexibility when adjusting the riding position.

The rims are from the HQV Edition RYDE RIVAL30 series, combined with SCHWALBE SUPER MOTO-X tyres for optimum grip and durability. The hubs are HUSQVARNA Pro Boost models, offering stability and reliability. The saddle is the HUSQVARNA GT-Ergo, which, together with an adjustable seatpost, ensures comfort on long rides.

Additional features such as mudguards, a height-adjustable kickstand and a luggage rack with a load capacity of up to 25 kg round off the specification. Power is provided by a SHIMANO STePS DU-E8000 motor with a torque of 70 Nm, which, in combination with a SIMPLO 630Wh battery, delivers powerful and long-lasting assistance. The SHIMANO SC-E6100 central display offers ANT+ and Bluetooth functionality, making it easy to monitor ride data and personalise the bike. Overall, the Gran Tourer 6 is a well-designed and high-performance e-bike that is ideally suited to long tours and challenging routes.
