Husqvarna E-Bicycles Gran Sport 5

The 2021 "Gran Sport 5" model from Husqvarna E-Bicycles is a versatile e-bike that stands out for its well-thought-out features and robust build quality. Priced at EUR 3,899, it offers a balanced combination of performance and functionality, making it suitable for both everyday use and longer rides. The frame is made from 6061 alloy and is specifically designed for trekking, featuring a Skeleton Interface and an integrated battery, which gives the bike a sleek appearance. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 22 kg.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, combined with a 180mm Shimano SM-RT56 front brake disc. The drivetrain consists of an SRAM NX 11-speed system, operated by an SRAM NX shifter. The SR Suntour XCR32 LO fork, with 80 mm of travel and air suspension, ensures comfort and control on a variety of terrains.

The e-bike is fitted with Husqvarna Alloy pedals and a 170mm crankset. The SRAM NX cassette offers a 11–42T gear ratio across 11 speeds, whilst power is transmitted via a SRAM PC-1110 chain. The handlebars are 720 mm wide, with a 9° sweep and a 38 mm rise, and are complemented by a 90 mm adjustable stem. The Husqvarna Ergo grips with lock-on function offer additional comfort.

The Ryde Rival23 rims with eyelets are fitted with Schwalbe Smart Sam tyres in size 27.5x2.25, which ensure good traction and durability. The front hub is a Husqvarna DC-71 and the rear hub is a Husqvarna DC-1248, both with a 6-bolt mount.

Power is provided by a Shimano STePS DU-E7000 motor with an output of 250W and a torque of 60Nm. The Shimano BT-E8035 battery has a capacity of 504Wh, providing sufficient power for long rides. The integrated Shimano SC-E7000 LED display features ANT+ and Bluetooth connectivity, allowing for easy monitoring and control of the systems.

The Gran Sport 5 is rounded off with a Husqvarna Ergo saddle and a Husqvarna dropper post, which offers additional adjustment options. This model combines comfort, performance and reliability in an attractive package that is suitable for both commuters and leisure cyclists.
