Husqvarna E-Bicycles Gran City 4 FW

The "Gran City 4 FW" model from Husqvarna E-Bicycles, launched in 2020, is a versatile e-bike that stands out for its well-thought-out features and high-quality components. Priced at EUR 2,899, it offers a solid combination of functionality and comfort. The frame is made from a lightweight 6061 alloy and is available in 26” and 28” sizes, allowing for flexible adaptation to different rider heights. The City Wave design, featuring a Compact Interface and seat tube battery mount, ensures an attractive appearance and practical integration of the battery.

The maximum permissible weight is 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 24 kg. The SHIMANO BR-MT201 hydraulic disc brakes, featuring 2-piston technology and 160 mm CentreLock brake discs at the front and rear, ensure reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions. Gear changes are controlled via the SHIMANO NEXUS 5E hub gear system, which is operated by a SHIMANO NEXUS-5 Revoshift lever and offers five gears.

The SR SUNTOUR NEX E25 fork, with 50 mm of travel, provides additional riding comfort, particularly on uneven roads. The lighting system, comprising the AXA Compact Line 35 LED front light and the TRELOCK LS621 Flat LED rear light, complies with StVZO regulations, ensuring safety on the road. Both lights are designed for use on e-bikes.

The Gran City 4 FW is fitted with a HUSQVARNA crankset made from forged aluminium, which, together with a SHIMANO CS-C700 27T sprocket and a KMC 610 HX drivetrain, ensures efficient power transmission. The HUSQVARNA handlebars, with a width of 680 mm and a 30° backward sweep, offer an ergonomic hand position, whilst the D2 Compound grips provide additional comfort.

The wheels consist of HQV Edition RYDE TL-21 rims and are fitted with SCHWALBE DELTA CRUISER K-Guard tyres in size 26" or SCHWALBE Energizer Plus-Guard tyres in size 28", which offer a good balance between rolling resistance and puncture resistance. The HUSQVARNA GC-Ergo saddle and the suspension seatpost contribute to riding comfort.

Power is provided by the SHIMANO STePS DU-E6100 motor with a torque of 60 Nm, which, together with the SHIMANO BT-E8010 battery with a capacity of 504 Wh, offers sufficient range for everyday use. The central SHIMANO SC-E6100 LCD display with ANT+ and Bluetooth functionality allows for easy monitoring of ride data.

Additional features such as mudguards, a height-adjustable kickstand and a luggage rack with a load capacity of 25 kg round off the overall package and make the Gran City 4 FW a practical everyday companion.
