Husqvarna E-Bicycles Gran City 2 FW 2021

The “Gran City 2 FW 2021” model from Husqvarna E-Bicycles, released in 2023, is a versatile e-bike designed for urban use. Priced at 3,599 EUR, it offers a solid range of features and modern technology. The frame is made from 28-inch aluminium alloy (Alloy 6061) and features an integrated battery compartment with a Skeleton Interface. The maximum permissible weight is 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 27 kg.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brakes with 2-piston technology. The front brake disc has a diameter of 180 mm and the rear one 160 mm, both featuring a Centre Lock design. Gear changes are handled by a Shimano Nexus SG-C6001 8-speed hub gear system, operated via the Revoshift SL-C6000-8 shifter.

The SR SUNTOUR NEX-E25 suspension fork, with 63 mm of travel, ensures comfort on uneven roads. The bike is lit by the Herrmans MR4 front light (40 lux) and the AXA Blueline E rear light. The pedals are made of aluminium and manufactured by Husqvarna.

The Gran City 2 FW is powered by a Shimano E6100 motor with an output of 250 W and a torque of 60 Nm. The battery, a Core S1 with a capacity of 500 Wh, is fully integrated and, together with the Shimano SC-E6100 LCD display, offers a modern drive solution. The Charger S delivers a charging current of 4 A.

The handlebars are Husqvarna Ergo, with a width of 640 mm, a sweep of 35 degrees and a rise of 25 mm. The adjustable stem and ergonomic screw-on grips ensure a comfortable riding position. The rims are Tubeless Ready Ryde Disc21, combined with Schwalbe Delta Cruiser/Energizer Plus tyres in size 50-622 (28x2.0).

Other features include the Husqvarna saddle, a dropper post, Eurofender Tempo mudguards, a Horn Catena 18 chain guard, and an Ursus MOOI KSA18 kickstand. The luggage rack is the Husqvarna Tour, compatible with the MIK system.

In terms of geometry, the bike has a seat tube length of 460 mm, a top tube length of 645 mm, a head tube angle of 70 degrees and a seat tube angle of 73 degrees. The wheelbase is 1164 mm, whilst the chainstay length is 455 mm. Overall, the Gran City 2 FW is a well-designed e-bike for urban cycling that combines comfort, safety and modern technology.
