Husqvarna E-Bicycles Eco City 5 CB

The “Eco City 5 CB” model from Husqvarna E-Bicycles, launched in 2020, is an e-bike that is ideally suited to urban use. Priced at 2,999 EUR, it offers a solid range of features that ensure both comfort and functionality. The bike’s frame is made from a 26/28-inch 6061 alloy construction in the City Wave design and has a maximum load capacity of 130 kg. Weighing 24 kg, the bike is robust yet manoeuvrable.

The braking system consists of SHIMANO BR-MT201 hydraulic disc brakes with 2-piston calipers. The front brake disc has a diameter of 180 mm, whilst the rear disc measures 160 mm. The gear system is a SHIMANO NEXUS 8-speed hub gear system with a coaster brake, operated via the SHIMANO SW-E7000-R Di2 shifter.

Riding comfort is ensured by the SR SUNTOUR NEX E25 fork with 50 mm of travel. Lighting is provided by HERRMANS front and rear lights, both of which are approved for use on e-bikes. Power is transmitted via a KMC Z1wide EPT chain, which transfers the power from the SHIMANO STePS DU-E6110 motor – specifically designed for hubs with coaster brakes and delivering a torque of up to 60 Nm.

The battery is a SHIMANO BT-E8010 semi-internal battery with a capacity of 504 Wh, which provides sufficient range for city riding. The SHIMANO SC-E6100 central display shows all key information and features ANT+ and Bluetooth functionality.

The bike is fitted with a HUSQVARNA City saddle and an aluminium seat post. The handlebars are also made of aluminium and, with a width of 640 mm and a rise of 44 mm, provide a comfortable riding position. The luggage rack can carry loads of up to 25 kg, making it practical for transporting shopping or luggage.

The CONTINENTAL Ride City tyres with PunctureProtection ensure a safe ride on urban roads. The MACH1 MC40-E-BLK rims complete the overall look and contribute to the bike’s stability.
