Husqvarna E-Bicycles Eco City 3

The “Eco City 3” model from Husqvarna E-Bicycles, launched in 2020, is a versatile e-bike that is ideal for urban use. Priced at 2,799 EUR, it offers a solid range of features and modern technology. The frame is a 26/28-inch 6061 alloy construction in the City Wave design and is fitted with a Compact Interface. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 24 kg.

Safety is ensured by Tektro HD-T275 hydraulic disc brakes featuring 2-piston technology. The front brake disc measures 180 mm and is made of stainless steel, as is the rear one. The gear system is a 9-speed Shimano Deore RD-M592, operated by a Shimano Altus SL-M2010-9R shifter. The SR Suntour NEX E25 fork offers 50 mm of travel and contributes to a comfortable riding experience.

For lighting, a Herrmans MR-GO E-Bike Standard front light is fitted at the front and a Herrmans H-Trace E-Bike rear light at the rear; both comply with StVZO regulations. The crankset is made of alloy and measures 170 mm. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG200-9 with a 11-36T range, whilst power is transmitted via a KMC X9eS NPBK chain.

The Husqvarna handlebars are also made of alloy and are 640 mm wide with a 44 mm rise. The ergonomic grips provide additional comfort. The stem is adjustable and measures 90 mm with a diameter of 31.8 mm. The headset is tapered with a 1 1/8 Eco-adapter.

The rims are MACH1 MC40-E-BLK in size 28" (622x25C) and the tyres are Continental Ride City with PunctureProtection and reflective strips in size 700Cx47. The hubs are made of alloy and feature quick-release mechanisms. The wheelset consists of the same components.

The saddle is a Husqvarna City model, mounted on a 350 mm long alloy seatpost. The seat clamp has a diameter of 34.9 mm. Mudguards are also fitted, in the form of the black Husqvarna Grip 45. A height-adjustable kickstand and a luggage rack capable of carrying up to 25 kg round off the practical accessories.

The Eco City 3 is powered by a Shimano STePS DU-E6100 motor with a torque of 60 Nm (50 Nm with 8-speed in-hub gears). The battery is a Shimano BT-E8010, semi-internally mounted, with a capacity of 504 Wh (36V / 14Ah). The central display is a Shimano SC-E6100 LCD with ANT+ and Bluetooth functionality, which allows for easy operation and monitoring of ride data.
